Good but could be better
Good hotel for staying in locally. The evening meal is not really a meal or much. Room was excellent for what I needed it for - staying overnight while working during day.

The hotel needs a few designated spaces outside for guests to park while checking in and out. I had placed my luggage in the car and parked it outside so I could check out. In the 5-10 minutes that took, I received a parking ticket!!! I left the ticket at the reception for management to discuss with city officials.

Når jeg har bestilt et dobbeltrom venter jeg at det ikke er kjørt inn en fullt oppredd køyeseng i to etasjer, som opptar gulvplassen. Siden det bare var for en natt brydde jeg meg ikke om å få den ut av rommet. Vaskeservanten på baderommet var så tiltettet at det tok lang tid for at vannet rant ned , dårlig renhold med hår og hud? Det fantes ikke verken safe eller minibar på rom 356 som var merket "Superior room" på døren

Lovely hotel staff perfect buffet dinner
Amanda is amazing with lovely staffs and very nice dinner buffet. But if you book through hotel.com it is 10% more expensive then I foundout that you already pay them the reward night

Disorganized and very disappointing
The room was good and the location was perfect, being centrally located. The front desk service was clearly overwhelmed by handling many guests with only one person doing this during check in and check out. Long lines were formed creating congestion in the lobby. It was very disorganized. The complimentary dinner was a buffet. Again there were no clear social distancing or structure to this and long lines were formed to get food and greater groups formed. Tables were placed 2cm away from the buffet and staff had difficulty keeping up with cleaning tables and bringing more food as more people arrived. Dinner was from 6-8. Again, there was hand sanitizer but no structure or Organisation we have come to see in other hotels. It wasn’t possible to order drinks with dinner, no vegetarian option unless you like plain rice or pasta. Breakfast was a similar story, long lines out the door, no tables or these were needing to be cleaned. We chose to eat our breakfast in another room due to the amount of people. We understood that buffets were not allowed under current pandemic restrictions. Girl at front desk was lovely despite the chaos. Potential is there for this hotel but we will not stay in another clarion group hotel.

Nice clean rooms, courteous staff. Travelling for business and a lack of iron in the room is a negative. I’m sure I could have requested one.

Haugesund stay
Really well-situated hotel. The rooms were ok, new furniture and very nice bathroom, but a little un-cozy. Great evening meal and breakfast included in the price. The service was great and the ambiance of the hotell was special with their movie-themed rooms and hall-decorations.

We liked the location and the wafles. we were not too keen on the cold breakfasts ans the crackers and jam we go the second afternoon. The hotel was a bit run down and tired

Movie hotel, every room is named after a movie😉
Nice stay in Amanda hotel. We have been used this hotel in many occasions and we are overall pleased with our stay. They don't have the best pillows, and could improve the cleaning of the rooms. Very well located, central, good breakfast and you get included 2 ekstra meals every day ( afternoon wafles, and buffet) in the evening. To Egon restaurant you can go through the hotel. The reception staff is very helpful and try to do their best. The TV was not working in the whole weekend in the hotel, but we got discounted the car parking. Overall nice stay. 4 of 5 stars👍. Recommend the hotel,but if you don't like noise be aware that in the weekends is noise from the bars located along the promenade.

Nice stay at Amanda Clarion. Great location on Haugesund waterfront. Spacious room by Norwegian standards. Breakfast, afternoon snacks and dinner provided at no cost.

Perfect location in Haugesund
My grandparents grew up in Haugesund so we spent 4 days there. The Hotel Amanda was in a perfect downtown location on the waterfront where we could easily walk to everything. It was an excellent value since both breakfast and a dinner buffet were included in the price.

We thought the hotel and its facilties were excellent. Comfortable rooms. Extremely helpful front desk. Good location on the waterfront near the bars and restaurants. Long term car parking nearby (10K per hour 8-3, otherwise free) and short term on quayside. Wholesome supper was included in the price which was a bonus! Nothing adverse to say. Quite honestly for the price this was great value for money.

Great value for money hotel on the water front
The greeting that awaited us from the receptionist was lovely and welcoming and a joy to find free coffee, water and fruit at all times. Our room was spotless and well decorated and lit. The breakfast was superb and the evening meal absolutely fine. After spending five days in Norway and eating out and nearly always paying a fortune, it was wonderful to be able to eat what we wanted and not worry about the bill! The waffles in the afternoon were a nice touch too. Perhaps the only problem with this hotel would be the street noise outside - we were on the fourth floor and the weather was cool so we had the windows closed and slept ok. In hot weather I'd ask for a room at the back if you're bothered about the noise of revelers!

A warm welcome.
We arrived for a one night stay during renovation work. The hotel was difficult to find as it was hidden by scaffolding. The hotel has its own carpark - there was a charge to park. However we had a warm welcome from staff, especially in the restaurant where the waitress was very helpful and friendly. She helped us make waffles (which were free, along with drinks and fruit) and she recommended a visit to the Viking village nearby at Avaldsnes. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a good quality hotel,
This is a good quality hotel, our room overlooked the quayside and had a view to some distant islands. The room was large, bright (2 large windows affording panoramic views) clean with a very comfortable bed. But it was also like visiting a family friend. Guests are encouraged to help themselves to free coffee and fresh fruit all day and the icing on the cake is "Waffle time." Each afternoon between 1500 - 1800 guests can help themselves to the freshly made waffles which again are free, but only if they make them themselves, then they can sit outside in the hotels "Pavement Cafe" area sipping their coffee and eating their limitless supply of waffles whilst watching the people, boats and life gently drifting past. In addition there is a hot and cold buffet served daily from 1800 - 2100 which provides sufficient sustenance to keep even a big eater happy, once more this is available free to guests.
