Scalby is a quiet residential village on the outskirts of Scarborough with pubs nearby for excellent bar snacks and superb Yorkshire ale. Scarborough has two beautiful beaches, a historic Castle and many amenities including restaurants and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to Alan Ayckbourn, the world's most performed living playwright. Holly Croft is ideally placed for walks along the cliff-top or in the lovely surrounding countryside. As a touring base, Holly Croft is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire Moors and Heartbeat country and is within easy reach of Castle Howard, Burton Agnes and Bempton Cliffs RSPB nature reserve.

The house is superbly and comfortably furnished in Country House style, with family antiques. Accommodation comprises one double room and one twin room. The double room has a private bathroom with bath, king sized shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet. The twin room has a spacious en-suite shower room with king sized shower cubicle, bidet, wash basin and toilet.

Dining

Breakfast is cooked to order and served between 8 and 9.30.am in the traditional dining room around a large antique mahogany table. Dinner can be provided by prior arrangement minimum 4 persons. Packed lunches also available.

“lovely people”

what lovely people at the holly croft. we had to leave early as my husband was not well and christine text me to say we could take the exta day any time at no extra cost, how nice. warm and comfortable, spotless, gardens were lovely. well done holly croft. ray and carole

“Excellent B&B”

This was an excellent place to stay. Everyone of its stars was well deserved. Would definitely stay here again. Lovely people and a warm welcome and excellent breakfast too.
