Villa 2 chambres du Barefoot resort - Bien
Belle villa a moins de 5 minutes en automobile de la plage. Le confort des lits laissent grandement a désirer. Nous avions un lit supposé king mais en fait ce sont 2 lits simples collés ensemble. Un des lits était croche et l'autre fesait le rond dans le milieux. Manque beaucoup de choses pour pouvoir cuisiner adéquatement (une casserolle avec une petite poele seulement).

This was the worst experience we have ever had with a resort. We booked to be at Barefoot Yacht, upon entering our room , they had double booked it and someone was occupied in that room. They placed in another location 20min away in apartment with no heat and air and unclean room.

No refrigerator. Only small amount of toilet paper left on roll when we arrived. I called front desk and clerk was rude. She stated they give you just enough to start out with and that we have to buy our own. Really TACKY! Also given wrong room number for code to work.

Christy,We are sorry to hear that your recent stay was less than perfect for you. We try our best to make sure every gests is comfortable and happy with their units. The room description gives an accurate depiction of what is in and what is not in the unit. Our balcony units do not furnish a fridge, and we do state we only supply the initial setup for toiletries and you are responsible for supplying the remainder during your stay. I am sorry that your code was incorrect when you arrived, sometimes the codes do turn off without our knowledge, but that is a quick and easy fix we have someone 24hrs that can assist with that. I will speak with the agent on duty as we never want to come across rude or non-understanding. We are here to assist anyway we can and that is the standards we have set for our employees.

Nice location and the view was very good. We got there late at night, and had an issue getting in. The place is very tired looking, there was no toilet paper and the toilet was broken. Tabitha was wonderful getting someone to come perform a temporary fix and luckily we had TP in the car. The wonderful maintenance man came back in the morning and fixed it properly. The place was very quiet but then yesterday morning, we walked into the bathroom and smelled bacon cooking lol. This morning I walked into the bathroom and could hear the neighbor using his bathroom. The walls are very thin. The worst part was the bed, neither of us could sleep well as the bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept in, in a very long time! Not worth the money at all.

I remember speaking with you about the bed and did pass along your request to the owners to have that replaced. We are all individually owned units and most of these units are second homes for our owners. Very disappointed! I have stayed in better Motel 6’s. Decor was VERY dated and stripped down. Not like the pictures.The first room was so neglected, they moved us to another room but it wasn’t much better. No mini fridge or coffee maker. Couldn’t get into the room until 5 and a guy in a beat up car gave us a packet with codes. Didn’t even have the code for the gate. I wasn’t the only one upset. One guy was literally yelling at the property mgt company on the phone. This property has been neglected.

Ms. Hughart. I do apologize that your stay was not as expected. We do advertise that check in starts at 4pm and we do try to get every room clean by that time. Sometimes we do fall behind that time when we have a large check out day. I will make sure moving forward that packets are double checked for all codes and I am sending maint to the unit to inspect everything. 50th Bday
Was really pleased with the Unit we were given. Kitchen Sink made some funny noises but nothing to complain about. The check-in office use to be across the road from the resort but I found out it had been relocated and had to drive a little further for check-in, but I chalked that up to lack of communication. We all had a great time and would book again.

The Pool was the only good thing. The Security took care of the noise for a little bit then they just started up again. We will not stay here ever again.

The only good thing I have to say is the pool was massive and clean. Not once were clean towels brought around. I will NOT stay there again. Our neighbors were doing drugs and loud and I had my 10 year old there. Couldn’t ever reach one person at desk. This was supposed to be a resort and it boast some of the highest standards and I don’t see how. Next year I will look elsewhere before staying in this disgusting place with nasty carpet bedspread and no housekeeping.

I thought the unit was nice but needed some painting and cleaning around bathroom flooring. The coffee pot in the kitchen was filthy and I had to clean it out before using it. I liked the convenience of the parking areas. Check in was a bit of trouble as they kept telling me I owed more money and I had a receipt saying I had paid in full... They finally got it straightened out. Checkout was at 10:00 a.m. We left the until at 9:00 a.m and went to the office to turn in pool key, where we found a sign on the door saying "back at 11:00". Finally someone came to open the door and I said are you opening up now... and she rudely replied "ahhhh yeah".

Our condo we rented was wonderful! Everything you would need for a week’s vacation in Myrtle Beach. Plenty of room and the pool was great. Can’t wait to go back next summer.

The room was nasty. Stained carpets throughout. While watching TV sitting on the couch a roach crawled on my back. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. Requested a refund and no one has gotten back to me. I called numerous times and still nothing. Hotels. Com didn’t help nor did the hotel. I will never stay at this resort again nor will I use hotels.com.

As instructed, I called the resort as soon as we landed at MYR. I was on hold for over six minutes and had to leave a voicemail message. Arrived at the property without ever receiving a callback. One agent behind the desk. She was explaining to the family in front of us that their reservation had “been lost” when the resort updated their computer system. She was busy trying to find a villa for them which took at least 15 minutes. It was my turn. Same agent told me I and my husband would have to move from our one-week-stay villa to a hotel room on the last night because there had been a “water problem.” None of this made sense but I was too tired to inquire. Made it to the “villa.” It was sparsely furnished and looked a bit like worse for wear. I would not suggest that his property to any of my friends. There are too many other resorts in the area to choose from. Live and learn.

Nice neighborhood but a couple issues
Nice neighborhood with drawbacks when booking on Hotels.com. I was unaware that the neighborhood of this complex was so large. We were 2 miles away from where we expected to be. 2 miles from the large pool that is shown in the pictures. I also believed that Barefoot Landing was going to be walkable from my Condo. I was wrong and the pedestrian bridge to Barefoot Landing is closed - no fault of the Resort and Yacht club. Our King bed was 2 twin beds held together by a king bedsheet. It was also the most uncomfortable bed, I've been on in a long time. Granted these units are individually owned so your mileage may vary. It's a nice looking neighborhood and well maintained but I don't think it's for me so I don't think I'll return. I can see how golfers would love it though. There is a course that winds around the whole neighborhood.

The place was not a bad place at all, Justba few things such as the TV in the Living room area was not working when we arrived Sunday the 9th, We called several times Maintnence shows up Tuesday and we never heard back and then a call was made Thursday and we never heard back from anyone so either the owner was not contacted or they Choose not to do anything about it and we were scheduled to leave the 16th, Owners have to do better in addressing matters. The 2nd issue was a leaking refrigerator that we had to place a towel around the base to slow the water from getting all over the floor. It’s Hard to forget 113 Havens, because we have stayed in the Barefoot resort over 5 times and never had these issues, Thanks.

While the property is unique, due to issues with the property they failed to be able to get us a room and our reservation was canceled and refunded two hours after check in. The Front desk staff tried very hard and honestly seems very overworked. The property however has complaining "homeowners", a packed pool that's aging, buildings begin to deteriorate, and only one option for food. Combine that with a front door that allows check in at 4pm but closes it doors at 5pm. You end up very underwhelmed and very disappointed with the price your paying. 3-4 star prices with 1-2 star accommodations and only one worker to be seen that should really be given a raise.

Unit 813 in Heron Bay very disappointing. At checkin just after they closed for the evening our paperwork was left in what was supposed to be a secured lock box but it only took a phone call to a number posted above the locked box to get a recorded message with the code to get into the box. Once we got to the unit we realized we didn’t have the key code to get in. Had to call again and wait for after hours attendant to call someone else to get the code. Once in, no sheets on two beds, filthy and extremely stained carpet and walls, short on soap, dish soap, forks, towels, stove top and tv in master didn’t work, pool key wouldn’t get us into pool area. After one day they changed the code to front door and couldn’t get in again. Another call while pouring down rain. One problem after another. When letting the on site attendant know our concerns, she was friendly but little help as she said she didn’t work at this property normally and was just filling in. The grounds were well kept and at first exterior site, thought this was gonna be great. I think we just got a unit that wasn’t well maintained. Stay clear of 813 Heron Bay

We were very disappointed, we had no washcloths the entire stay. The front desk was notified and the after hours workers. The washing machine and dryer was extremely noisy and there were panties that were left in the guest closet which did not belong to us. Great location though.

A complete disgrace, we booked this “property” for the weekend, to have me and my 1 year old daughter to show up at 4:15 to state that our reservation was cancelled due to overbooking.. Expedia was never notified, myself either, to have the “manager” come out and state that they contacted Expedia, I’m on the phone with a rep, I get an email sent from the property 2 mins later stating they weren’t honoring my reservation, unprofessional is not a word to describe this property, as an operations manager myself I think I would have gotten fired by the way this lady was talking to me. I held my tongue but best believe for a first time traveling to Myrtle Beach, that was a bad impression to leave, I thank Expedia for booking me at an other location in a matter of 30 mins afterwards..

Didn't like my unit, it was out dated and didn't have basic kitchen needs. No blankets or sheets for the let out bed. Didn't have the size beds that was advertised. I liked the grounds and the staff.

Check in was fine, easy and efficient. It became clear shortly after that that there were several details left out. The directions to the apartment were wrong. Once we finally found it the first impression was a deteriorated doorbell button and a storm door that was barely functioning. The most updated feature was the keypad lock. there were no other security locks. The dim lighting made the space feel dingier than it was, and it was dingy, and the funky smell of the apartment was the first giveaway that we were in for a surprise. My oldest daughter began sweeping the floor almost immediately to remove dead bugs and trash. A toilet seat was broken and filthy, a glass sliding closet door was completely off the track , both bathroom vanity lights had half the bulbs out and this was the only light in the bathrooms, which again added to the very "dirty motel" vibe . Most of the lamps and alarm clocks were unplugged, one had a broken on/off knob. There were no instructions for the WIFI, we only discovered the router by happenstance when we were looking for extra linens in one of the closets; the door of which did not close; and the linens were just tossed in there on the floor. My daughters slept on towels because they didn't trust the cleanliness of the sheets. There were several bugs in the space as well as mold on the shower curtains. Also the advertised pool is over a mile away, and the keycard didn't work for the pool gate, so we had to wait for some one to open the gate for

Nope, unless we get a better unit next time.
Upon arriving the person that checked me in was not so welcoming. Pretty much just handed me the keys and sent me on my way. We stayed on third floor with three kiddos so you can imagine that whole situation. Condo needs to be updated. Not even sure when the last time someone used this unit. Maybe house cleaning needs to do better if they pay to have it cleaned. There was mold under fridge door and in shower. The air conditioner caused problems on the next morning, maintenance said it was dripping into the unit below is. We didn’t cook bc we didn’t feel comfortable with all the older equipment. The pool could have been cleaner as well, someone told us about the bigger pool with the kids island but we couldn’t find it and staff will not tell you about this when arriving. The great thing about this stay was it was very quiet, your not far from beach and you have everything all around you!

The room they put us in at the Yacht Club was HORRIBLE. We could not stay there, it was stains all over the carpet, mold in shower, stains on sheets, dust all over the TV stands, clicker was not clean, boggiers on the wall door near. Bathroom, bugs all over the entrance doors that you can’t even touch, elevator was horrible. They did move us to a two bedroom condo that was better.

Didn’t have a functioning shower or television for my entire stay, called front desk and maintenance numerous times only to be ignored. Hallways feel unsafe anyone could take elevator up and hide in the many blind spots, no security. The room was also filthy and didn’t even have a microwave or mini fridge. Coffee pot in room without coffee or even cups. Abysmal, run do not walk.

It was a safe area and it was close to shopping and eating but the room was not very clean the couches were dirty the arm of one couch was broke under the sink was broke mold on the front door and the back bedroom the whole floor carpet was wet and the beds were wet very very damp. There was no one to answer the phone at the office from the phone in the room that can opener didn't work very few utensils nothing to get something out of the oven no oven mitts I was very disappointed I really thought it would have been nicer

The best place you could stay
It was the best place i have ever stayed in. In all my years of going place this was the first place i felt like i was at home. I loved it. I cried when i had to leave. Thabk you so much. It is worth the price!!!

Barefoot
Terrible service at the front desk. Desk personnel were very rude. We waited 2 hours over arrival time for our room to be ready. Desk personnel kept saying they can't rush housekeeping. They really didn't care about their customers.
