“GREAT VALUE - Off strip hotel great for families”
I don't understand the bad reviews given the great value of this hotel. My family stayed in two adjoining rooms the week of 12/3/11. Texas is about a 15 minute drive from the strip so it's best to have a rental car (taxi ride from strip to Texas for one person is about 20 bucks). We have stayed at the Texas Hotel in the past and always enjoyed our stays. The rooms are not fancy but they are relatively large and nicely maintained. The beds are comfortable - not that I sleep much when visiting Las Vegas! The amenities at Texas are excellent, especially for a family, with tons of low cost dining options including the buffet, food court, cafe, and nicer restaurants and a bowling alley and movie theater. There is a child care facility called Kids Quest, which my son enjoyed when he was younger. There is a resort fee that includes internet from the room and with a special rate from Hotels.com the total per night for two rooms was about half of ONE room on the strip. That rate is a great value. We avoid staying there on Saturday night when the rate is higher. We arrived Saturday and used Marriott points for the Saturday night and moved to Texas for the rest of our stay from Sun thru the following Sat. The neighborhood is not that nice, but we had no issues and everyone was friendly. There is also a drive in movie theater behind Texas.
“Nice quaint hotel for a brief stay”

“My favorite hotel”
Everything was great. I like that ou could actually check in earlu
“Ok if your looking for just a clean cheap room.”
The price was good and the room was nice, but that's about it. The food was below average and the location is poor. The Casino had too many poker slot machines and not enough current slots. The low room rates seem to attact the lower class people. I won't be going back!
“Great facility, customer service and location are not great”
Room was fantastic for the price, facilities are clean and appeared well maintained. Perfect for my lay over, however the staff and customer service could have been a LOT better. Location is not close to the strip...
“Good value for the money”
Comfortable beds and nice showers. Room could have been vaccumed better and cleaned a bit more
“nice hotel, but far from the strip”
The rooms at the texas station were adequate, but we heard the neighbors next door at times. The hotel and casino are also far from the strip, stay here only if you have a car. Also the hotel charges a daily hotel fee, and with the hotel pool being closed, we paid 13 dollars a day for only a daily paper. We had breakfast at the coffee shop, pancakes were good, very large!! We did like that security patrolled the parking lots.
“Ling”
The price is good.
“Got what I wanted”
We chose the Texas Station because of its location in north Las Vegas. We have stayed there before and would return again. The resort fee is a little high especially if you do not use the pool. Outside of the hotel there was a very strong sewage odor but it did not have any inside the hotel.
“no jackpot station”
Was dissappointed with the casino and all the other Station casinos. They took out all the fun games I used to play. So this limits points I can put on my boarding pass card. I appreciate the low price on hotel, and 50 cent chips on roulette, However I will spend little or no time playing in the casino. At least till the economy turns around and you put in more fun slots.
