I was in the Dayton area to visit the University of Dayton (I was taking the LSAT there). Anyway, this was a great place to stay, everything was clean, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were great.

The hotel is in a good location as there are plenty of businesses and restaurants very close. The hotel shows its age and could use some cosmetic upgrades. In particular the doors were in need of painting and the bathroom counter/sink were well worn. The tub was dull. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is very close to I70 and there is loud road noise.
Only trouble we had was the freeway interchange, which is under reconstruction. Arrived in a thunderstorm, but found a nice clean hotel with friendly people and soft beds. Close to all sorts of useful things, like a Mejier across the street, and a great BBQ place north of the hotel across the freeway, called Firehouse 7 BBQ. Room was clean and beds soft. Breakfast was even superior to the Waffle House across the parking lot. Great place for the price.
an emergency came up forcing us to leave one day early. The desk clerk was really great and went out of her way to offer assistance even though she was busy at the time. Her help was greatly appreciated.
Needed to be cleaner. Bath areas were ok but carpet needed to be cleaned better where it meets wall. Mattress needs to be replaced.weird arrangement for second sheet over first sheet. Price was good. Breakfast was good. Was surprised that I could not get cold water. First turn on water was cool but after a few seconds became warm! Same with cold water handle in bathtub. Reported this to management.
Located between the Great Miami River and Mad River, this small neighborhood was first settled by German immigrants who gave the area its ethnic flavor. Take a taste of Eastern European food at the Amber Rose, stop at one of several nearby churches, or visit the historic Kossuth Colony.
