I attended a late night event in this area which is a couple hours from home, so I wanted to book a room to stay in for the night as cheaply as possible. As such I didn't expect a five star experience, and didn't really need it.
This motel has been around for decades and had been shutdown in 2012 by the board of health for some time. The property could still use some maintenance, but the room and bathroom were clean, the AC and TV worked well. There was a phone in the room but I'm not sure why, it was not connected at all. Not an issue in today's world. The Wi-Fi didn't provide a very good connection in my room so I just used mobile data for my phone and laptop.
The folks at the front desk gave me a bit of a hard time about my name, the reservation was under "Bill" and my ID says "William". A surprising number of people aren't familiar with this nickname. I just showed them the confirmation number on my phone.
Otherwise I had no problems, the room and my stay was completely adequate. I would stay here again if in the area.
