The hotel was a bit further than expected from the city, but it was a very nice hotel. The staff were great, they must have a lot of patience to put up with my late night antics lol! I was absolutely amazed by the blackout curtains, I wanted to take them home with me! My only complaint is that the shower was like a jet wash, wasn't a big fan.
It was a great stay at this hotel. The room was comfy. However there was no wifi in the room (it was in the lobby and bar area), which was a bit of a problem for me. The restaurant was also not serving food because of the chef's absence. I also had a bit of a difficulty finding the hotel as the postcode given took me to the wrong place. However I found the TV to be awesome. The bathroom was also in great condition with hot water in the shower.
Our room was clean and recently decorated but dated in style with a small window and rather old fashioned en suite. There was no air-con, and this is rare in a hotel like this, and no mini-fridge. The restaurant was quite good but only just above a pub-type menu. It is based on a lovely old building with modern additions. There is really good parking. A great plus these days!
The staff in the lodge are nice and friendly. If you have to check in at the aztec reception they can be less polite and you do have to wait awhile for one to appear. The lodge is basic and could do with a bit more on the food menu than pizza or pasta. The room is nice and comfortable with a nice large tv. Just wish the auto dimmed on the screen could be turned off. I prefer this place to the premier inn even if the premier inn has better food.

Staff were seriously good, engaged, polite and helpful at all times. The house itself is beautiful and the little village of Henbury where it's located really fascinating.
Ask for rooms on upper floors though, or you'll be following your neighbours' steps walking on wooden floors above you!

Second time at this hotel. Staff are so friendly, polite and helpful. There's nothing that they won't do. Close to cribbs causeway but restaurant is lovely. Spa is amazing but book treatments early as they book up very quickly in my experience
I was not able to use the shower, because it seemed to be an electric one, I was not used to. It would have been great, if there has been a guidance. So I washed myself and hair at the sink, what was not very convinient...Other experienences were good.
