“The view of the Atlantic was the saving grace for this hotel.”

|The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom small, however I think they made the best use of the space provided. The room had an unpleasant odour and I could not work out what it was. The kitchen sink had a leek and the safe was difficult to operate. I was in the floor below what I assume were the jacuzzi rooms and you could hear the noise of it filling up and being operated quite clearly I had difficulty sleeping for the noise of the appliance and the other guests on occassion. As a budget hotel it was ok, and the saving graces were the magnificent view of the ocean, the holiday lights and the hotel's assistant manager, he was very pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired, although I had fresh towels every day, my bed was not always made and I don't think the toilet or bath were properly cleaned the whole two weeks I was there. The location is good, almost half way along the boardwalk, and there were plenty of places to eat which were still open, even though it was out of season, however I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.

“Not Impressed”

The Hotel is quite old but well kept, rooms are big but the Bathroom too much small, anyway as the price is cheap you can not expect much more. Last thing do not count on they breakfast.

“Good option if you need to save some money”

I have no complaints about the hotel. It's a cheap and good choice if you want to spend a couple of days or a weekend. Not more than that.

“Better than expected”

Okay, the hotel is old and has seen its best days, the stairways don't look very nice, and the paint on the doors is so thick that it is sometimes hard to close them. The parking lot is pretty tight, the "breakfast" is very simple, and there is no breakfast room at all. However, you can take orange juice, coffee, muffins and donuts upstairs and enjoy the breakfast in your room with a great view on the Atlantic. The apartments are roomy (beside the mini bathroom), there is a door to the bedroom (which is nice, if you have little kids!), a nice small kitchenette (looked newer than the hotel), and one a/c for each room. Aditionally, the ocean view from the balcony as well as out of the living room is as great as it is from a five star hotel! So if you don't expect too much you will be surprised in a positive way.

“can't beat it for the price”

great location, we visited in april so rates were great. it is an older building and could use some updating. staff were friendly. we stayed 3 nights and towels were provided 2 nd day, no other housekeeping done. last day garbage emptied and clean towels were left. didn't try microwave till last morning and found it didn't work. beds were comfy, room clean on arrival. yes the bathroom is very small, can't sit straight on the toilet if you are tall! kept the door open as it felt like being shut in a closet! that being said, it was great to have the living room space with sofa and chairs. there is an oceanfront (small) balcony . we loved to sit here and see the boardwalk and beach. breakfast is what you'd expect, get there early before it's all gone! you get what you pay for and you can't get a better location to everything. we would stay again with just my husband and i. we had 2 double beds and i think if there would have been 2 more people it would have been too small. perfect getaway for 2, we will comeback .

“You get what you paid for!”

Hotel felt old and stale. The beds were stiff. The sheets were somewhat clean. The bathroom was tiny. The cable TV reception was scratchy. The only positive from the stay was the nice view of the Atlantic and VA Beach Boardwalk.

“For A Younger Crowd”

The bathroom is too small for my husband. The pictures were deceiving, on the website; when trying to book in advance. My husband wasn't impressed at all with the hotel. This hotel is a benifit for a younger crowd than an speical occasion with your spouse.

“GOOD FOR THE MONEY”

Nice staff, but run down hotel room. Amazing location in the middle of everything. The room was out dated and a little dirty, but you get what you pay for. NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY!
