“Can't beat it for the price!”

After I made my reservation, I started to read some scary reviews. Happily, my expectations were exceeded! The room was clean and smelled fresh, the AC was cold, the linens were crisp and white. Although the crib I asked for was unavailable, they offered me a fold-up cot instead. (The crib they give you is actually a portable bassinet and is only for very small babies anyway.) Although the bathroom is tiny, the water is hot and never runs out! The pool was crystal clear, and well maintained. The elevator was small, but smelled fine. It was unbelievably slow, however. The only drawback was how loud the band in the bar next door was when we were in the living room. I couldn't leave the door open to the balcony in the evening. However, you can't beat the view and the price was right! I can't wait to go back next year!

“Location can't be beat! Entertainment and restaurant out the front door and Beach at back door!”

Pros: 1. LOCATION - Beachfront -restaurants-free night time entertainment-bike rentals 2. Huge hotel room-including bedroom separated by a door-balcony overlooking the ocean/beach-refridgerator-microwave-coffee maker-sink in hallway between living room & bedroom. 3. Clean pool that is usually empty. 4. Very cheap, much less than the "fancy" hotels but works for us. Location & refridgerator were the most important things for us. 5. Amazing friendly staff. Cons: 1. Old & exterior is rundown. 2. Elevator has MAJOR issues you may want to get a room on a lower floor. It broke down 4 times during our 5 day stay. The hotel has 8 floors thankfully we "only" had to walk up 5 floors. We were also lucky it was working at our check in and check out. We did watch many who weren't so lucky. 3. The bathroom ( minus the sink) was very odd. The toliet is at an angle so the door will shut your knees hit the tub thats next to it. There was literally no way to dry off or get dressed in there not even enough room for a trash can. It was tiny. 4. Not an issue for us but the bedroom tv didn't work & the reception on the living room was horrible, so much "snow" it wasn't worth trying to watch. 5. Fold out couch was disgusting. Matress was torn and stained. The kids opted for the floor so don't plan on 6 people being comfortable. Beds were very comfortable 6. The furniture was greatly lacking, a couch that was dirty and old we put towels on it before we sat on it 2 chairs & a dining table.

“Very Nice for the Price”

It was very nice. It was also kept very clean. Being right on the beach withe a balcony was great, i ejoyed taking my breakfast out on the balcony and enjoying the morning sun!

“Happy with hotel”

After reading other reviews we were expecting the worse. Instead, we were ver happy with our entire stay. The sitting room was large for entertaining @ happy hr. Beds were comfortable. View of sunrise was wonderful. Bathroom was small but worked out fine.

“BEST Price, Though Dated”

I admit that the condition of the room was slightly shady at times. The drop-down ceiling probably needed to be replaced, and the bed & sofa in the room wasn't the most comfy in the world. But if you can get over that, this is a wonderful place to stay, excellent for the PRICE. We had a king-size bed, a living room area with a couch, and and amazing ocean view and balcony. I surprised my girlfriend with this trip due to an anniversary, and she absolutely loved it. This place made it happen WITHOUT emptying my wallet. I would highly recommend it, so long as you can get over the slightly dated feeling of the room.

“Can't wait to go back”

The price was right. The hotel was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The view was to die for. The location can't be beat. Even the weather was on our side.

Hotel is a little run down, but i didnt go to virginia beach to hang out in a hotel. great location and prices are very reasonable. staff was friendly and accomidating and let me check in very early.

“Best Bang for Your Buck”

If you just need a place to lay your head and a little more living space but don't require any frills then this is the hotel for you. Each room is a suite (bedroom with living room including foldout sofa bed, microwave, and mini fridge). All rooms have a balcony and face the ocean...a plus! Beyond that there is not much more to write about. The hotel shows plenty of wear and tear, the continental breakfast is OK at best, and parking is challenging. But the offseason rate (especially if you book well in advance) is perfect! Great location on the boardwalk, friendly staff, just don't expect much more. Plenty of places nearby to eat and if you are going swimming...that's what the ocean is for...not some cheezy pool.

“for the price i would stay again”

Just bring every thing you need for the kitchen and have a good time! My next vist will be for fun. For that price i can stand a small bath room,i am not going to live there just have fun. My room was clean and i could see the ocean.
