Despite remodeling going on the hotel was quiet. I would say it is the best value you can fine for a hotel on the beach.

.... well, i was able to get this hotel at a great price and let me tell you that the staff there NEVER stops cleaning or doing something else. Very corteous. It was a VERY GREAT PLUS on having a beach literally behind the hotel, having 2 young kids, the rocks (wave breakers)provided a swallow water situation IDEAL for my situation! The pool of the hotel was very well kept and that is NOTHING wrong with the room I stayed at. All I can say is this.... BOOK THIS HOTEL if you want to be close to Virginia Beach BUT not paying the prices of it ( very EASY OFF-ON of I-64 to 264 ) A++++

I read the reviews on this hotel after I booked and thought I was in for a terrible stay. My first interaction with the front desk was great and each time after that it was the same. THis is a no frills hotel, you can't beat the price and it is on the water. AC worked fine, TV was fine, and the rest of the room was fine. For the price it was just perfect and better than what I expected. Great staff.

We have been staying at this hotel for years. We have always found the place nice. Grant you it is not a five star hotel, and there is no restaurant. But there are good places close by to eat. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning was good. My family and I have stayed here since it was ownedby a larger chain. And compared to "The Oceanfront", where you pay upwards of $200 more for lesser accomodations this is great. The beach was clean and the breakwater stopped any big waves, we will definitely stay here again.It is really convenient to I-64.

“OK Value for Money”

During the time of year (Oct) the hotel was a good value for money compared to other hotels in the surrounding area. If you stay on the second floor in the rear, you got an ocean view. Not too bad for so little.
