“Royal Inn and Suites”

Convenience to the beach in VA Beach. Close to stores and restaurants. Needs some maintenance especially for an outside shower by the pool to wash off some of the sand from the beach.

Had Ocean front room & watched the dolphins... great experience. Continental breakfast had huge selection and was very good. Hotel offered many amenities which we had no time to take advantage of b/c we only stayed one night. We are planning another trip to the hotel - for a longer stay - real soon.

The Inn is right across from the ocean. The Inn was in good condition and the staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

“Hidden secret!”

The hotel doesn't have anything extra to offer but is located next door to plenty of restaurants and other establishments. The staff was very friendly and willing to offer suggestions. I wanted a place that was quiet and safe but not to far from the beach and that wouldn't break my little bank account. This place met all my needs.

I would certainly stay there again. Sure, I read the reviews b4 I went and was a bit hesitant about staying there... but to my surprise it was not bad at all... much better than what i was expecting. yeah the pool is small and a bit too chilly for me but who needs a pool when you have a BEACH?!!? OK the bathroom door hit the toilet seat when you close the door but its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.... after the first time it hit just learn to keep the seat up no big deal... The room was very clean, beds were comfy, house keeping was available everyday. Had a cot available upon request which was just as nice as the beds... a bit large to fit in the room (had to move the beds apart to get it in the middle). We were greeted every morning by the staff when we walked by always asking how we were enjoying our stay, if we needed anything ect. Superb cust. service. You won't hear any complaints from me of my friends. We have already called to book a room for next year

“Very affordable and easy access to beach”

Although the hotel looks to have been around for a while, don't let this fool you. The outside appearance is very clean and well-cared for. The rooms are updated, clean and serve their purpose. The value here is great because you are on the main strip in Virginia Beach. Parking was easy, the staff was attentive and seemed interested in making sure we were happy with our stay. It's a quick and easy walk across the street and you are right on the beach. We saw dolphins swimming in the area just off the coastline from us every day. This hotel is located on the northern end of the resort strip, which, we felt was the "nicer" end with the bigger hotels, some nice shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed our trip as a whole and where very impressed with Virginia Beach as a nice, clean beach resort area with lots to see and do.

“Royal Clipper is VA Beach's Hidden Treasure!”

Located right next to the beach, Royal Clipper is the perfect place to stay. The prices were excellent when booked in advance. We went for Fourth of July weekend. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, there were brand new beds that provided heavenly sleep. They had installed marble in the showers. Housekeeping staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating. Free juice, coffee, and tea around the clock in the hotel lobby. There was a DVD/CD player in the room too. This was a luxurious room at an incredible price that was within walking distance of all the sights and sounds of VA Beach. When we were leaving, there was a time gap for when our train would arrive, so they let us hang out in the lobby for a couple of hours and even called us a cab. The people at Royal Clipper take pride in what they do and ensure your comfort and happiness there. Definitely would go back!
