Lage und Sauberkeit

Posted 30-Jun-2015

Great view, tiny balcony though... Room had an odd smell the first day. Not much water pressure in the shower at all.. Floors were outdated... No microwaves in any of the rooms. Other than that it was okay for a couple of days. Not recommended for longer than a few days stay.

Two day stay..What can I say...

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Pros: The view,The short walk to the beach, Parking.
Cons: Fix the shower tiles curling up.Paint peeling. But for only two nights its ok, Im not liveing there. Wish the room had a microwave.
Location: Well food is very high.. (Two adults one kid) bring food! unless your rich. Breakfast at the mapletree came to 62.00. Every thing was trated as a side
Over all it was a good stay with the exeption of the dirty tub soap scum, my wife talked to the housekeeping person for our room and asked her about it. She said, "It's the chemical's residue." My wife has been working for hotels for 14 years in housekeeping. It is'nt true that it's the chemical's residue, they're just not cleaning it as good as it should be cleaned. The lady took us to another room to show us they're all like that. Really, who is the manager inspecting the rooms? I wish they had a microwave, because we had cold left overs. The lady at the front desk was not so friendly when I asked, "Why do you need a copy of my drivers licence?" She just replied, "It's hotel policy." (It's one thing to varify that it's my credit card and me, but it's a security issue when your making a copy along with the credit card) Security is always a concern.

Best bang for the buck!

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Pros: Location, overall comfort of room and being oceanfront!! Restaurant was good!
Cons: Updating would be nice although then the price would go up! Toilet paper and pool towels
I booked my trip with Expedia and got a mid week early June rate of $139.00 a night and what a great vacation we had! Ocean front and on the north end of Va beach we couldn't ask for more. The hotel was a tad dated but it was totally fine. It is next door to the Hilton so if you want to do fine dining and taste the luxury a little without paying the price stay at the Oceanfront Inn!! We even got to see the Wailers (Bob Marley's band!) playing a free concert on the beach of the Hilton. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel that has great food and the indoor pool was nice to hop into after the beach although the towels at the pool are like using 80 grit sand paper to dry off with which isn't nice if you just got fried on the beach! The toilet paper was horrible in the room as well but overall a very nice stay! We will be going back there next year for sure!

Great inexpensive hotel on the water with balcony

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Cons: If they updated it, the price would probably go up....
Perfect location right down from King Neptune on the beach, Starbucks around the corner, bike rental next door. The hotel is a little dated but the room had plenty of space, was clean, had wi-fi, TV, etc. Bathroom was small but clean and functional with touch of elegance. Refrigerator got very cold. Beds were very comfortable with good pillows. Hanging out on the balcony overlooking the beach and boardwalk was the greatest. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
