“Didn't expect much... was surprised”
I read some reviews and wasn't sure I made the good choice. but our room was very nice. The only negative thing would be the breakfast that was only some donuts. But everything was ok. Clean, no noise, big enought. Location was excellent.
“Pleased and disappointed :(”
The room was much larger than expected. It appears that they were once all with kitchens and they have done some modifying. The rooms are very spacious. The air conditioner was out our entire stay. Thankfully it was only upper 70's with a constant breeze.
“Will go there every year”
The staff was very friendly. The room was neat and clean. The location was also very good.
“I'll definintly go back again”
It was the cheapest hotel on the strip, and I really enjoyed what I got for the price, it was a lot more than what I had originally expected when I went for the cheapest. The AC was the only thing that didn't work, it blew out hot air but it was cooler when we were down and just opened up a window and the front door for circulation, but it was great for its price.
“Good price”
Convenience location, 1 block away from beach, the lowest price I could find with the similar location, room is kinda noise at night, but maybe it is near AC or something. but overall, considering the location and price, it is a good place to stay.
“The hotel served its purpose”
We selected this hotel based on how close it was to the beach, we did not expect it to be a Holiday Inn type hotel so we knew going in it may not be great, the room was fine, the sheets were clean and the room was clean when we first checked in, the sheets were never changed nor were the towels. I had to go to the front desk and ask for towels every day, the hotel served its purpose though, it was close to the beach and thats all we were looking for, I have been to worse hotels. I would stay there again.
“Great hotel for the money”
The hotel rates were reasonable and the room was very spacious. It was only a block from the beach which made it a very easy trip carrying a load of stuff for the beach. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for an affordable and decent hotel.
“Good place to stay, highly recommend”
Very spacious and I never had to hear my neighbors. Staff was also friendly. I accidentally locked my key in my room and they gladly gave me a replacement. Only thing missing was anything to use in the shower so bring your own shampoo/soap
“Clean and very close to then beach for the price.”
Not a four start hotel but nice enough for a short getaway with the family. It was clean and very close to the beach (right across the street) for the price. The hotel room is separated by a living area (kitchen, couch, refrigerator, and TV) and bedroom two beds with TV. Be aware parking is extremely tight and fills up early. If you arrive late you may be pushed to an overflow parking lot across the street. Please also remember parking in VA beach is in high demand and the public lots are not close to this location so prepare to walk to wherever you want to go (including food). To the right of the hotel a few blocks down there is an outdoor theater (across from Rite Aid, near the Navy memorial and the old Coast guard station) where shows are put on for the public throughout the summer.
“A no frills and very basic hotel”
The hotel mgr let us check in an hr early but, the room was being cleaned so, that really didn't do us any good. We asked about a coffee pot and they supplied one, which worked but, was falling apart. Bring your own coffee/creamer. Hair dryer did not work but, I had brought my own. No shampoo/cond. but, I had brought that, too. No alarm clock...I didn't bring that but, I had my cell phone. Towels were hard and rough. Room was clean but, very basic. One block from beach but, convenient to shops and short walk to beach. I only recommend if you are the type of person that can get by without a plush room. Our "vacation o Niagara" is where we applied our money for 8 people for a really nice hotel . This was a last min. decision and was Memorial Day w/e so, we bit the bullet and got the cheap room. Close to CP Shucker, which is by far the best restaurant in VA Bch for crab legs and raw oysters. The price and food were so good, we ate there both nights. Parking is tight at the hotel but, we always found a place and it's pretty well lit.
