Very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Best breakfast I ever had in a Hotel. Room was excellent and views from the balcony were amazing.

Great stay!
we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the accommodations were for our weekend getaway. We've stayed in several different VA beach ocean front hotels and all have been less than impressive. The cleanliness and updates here were top notch.

My experience at the Holiday Inn
The pool was way smaller than expected. The breakfast was pretty decent but you may have to wait in line for it. The bed wasn’t really comfortable and I woke up with my neck hurting and the air conditioning was difficult to get to a pleasant degree. The toilet didn’t really work properly but it still was a pretty decent hotel. They didn’t allow late check out and didn’t any extra towels and wash cloths but apparently it was a employee issue on why they couldn’t

After a day out, I arrived back to the hotel around 11 pm. There were no parking spaces available in the lot. There were also a few cars in the lot that did not have guest tags. When I went to the desk to inquire, I was told I had to go about two blocks away to a lot to park my car and walk back. I am a woman, ‘of a certain age’ and was traveling solo. I expressed that I was not comfortable doing that. I also shared that there appeared to be non-guests taking up some spots. The man at the desk simply repeated that I should go park in the other lot and walk back. In regards to the alleged non-guests, he just said “I guess we’ll have to check that out”. When I again said that I was not comfortable walking alone down a dark street at that hour, he just told me again that I had to go to the other lot. Thankfully, a young lady behind the desk heard our conversation and volunteered to go to the lot and walk back with me. I think that asking an older, female, solo traveler to walk down a dark street at 11pm by herself is unacceptable. I paid enough for my stay to expect that I would have a parking space in the lot.

Birthday celebration
Went for a birthday celebration an last minute booked this hotel. Much to our suprise it was close to alot of places to eat an within walking distance. Loved how it was right on the beach. Nothing is like waking up to the sunrise on the beach!!!

Overall services average. Hotel is very nice and clean room very small. It is in the 30s outside. And they had the hallways AC on. Temperatures was reading 64 in the hallway. When I asked the night front desk clerk to turn the heat on, he told me he can do anything about it, it is management. In the morning going on the pool room was absolutely free. A game when I asked the daytime clerk, she called me it is on auto. That was a lie. Thermostat clearly read AC on. Slide on the side was not on heat. The fact that they lie really bothered me. It tells me how much they don't care about their guests.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The first day we were in the room until 11:30 am waiting for hot water, the second day we check out without taking a bath because there was no hot water. The excuse on the first day was that the hotel was at full capacity and all the guests were bathing at the same time. On the second day they determined that there were mechanical problems.

There was no hot water for showering. Both days of our stay we had to shower in freezing cold water. Makes us question returning to this property. Other than that - the stay was great

Stayed at this hotel recently after staying here a couple of years ago, and I can really tell the difference since then! The renovations to this place has really elevated the look and feel of this hotel. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. My only gripe is the parking lot. It is very small and very difficult to navigate around. I would recommend they renovate that next!

We selected this hotel based on good reviews on Hotels.com. We wanted a quiet 2 nights weekend. It didn't happened. A front desk assistant gave us a room on the 2nd floor just above this hotel's outdoor seating area where people were making a lot of noise. We couldn't sleep until these people left the area. The following morning, I talked with the same person who gave us this room about our experience. She said she didn't know it was a loud location, although her manager said he knew it was a noisy place. The manager gave us another room forr the 2nd night, but no refund for spoiled night and no apology.

The hotel and our room were very clean! There were a few small things - housekeeping cleared our trash but forgot a bag one morning, the check-in process seemed unnecessarily analog (filling out forms by hand for contact information they must have already had) and breakfast was hit or miss, but it was a great place to stay. There was enough of a breakfast selection that we could avoid the poor items and our room was great.
