“Great Hotel for the price”
Had great view of beach from balcony even though it is not on the beach. Room was spacious with a refrigerator, microwave and stove. Room was reasonably clean, but carpet around base of beds was dirty with dust bunnies and even change. The glass on the balcony door also had smudge marks. Rest of room looked good and bathroom was clean. Continental breakfast was disappointing with only hot/cold cereal, toast and hard-boiled eggs. Would have been nice to had donuts and bagels also, but there are plenty of places around you can get a good breakfast. Staff was friendly and eager to help us. Bottom line is if you’re real picky, this is not for you, but if you want a reasonably clean room at a good price, this is a great hotel.
“Best Hotel Value in VA Beach”
The hotel was conveniently located just across from the beach; we could see the ocean from our window. The staff was very warmly courteous and helpful, and our room couldn't have been nicer. This one's a keeper.
“Great stay for not so much money!”
Great place to stay if you are on a tight budget. It was clean, not horribly out of date. Balcony could have been a little bigger but the price was just right for only showering and sleeping there. If you dont plan on spending much time in the hotel what is the point in spending over a $100 a night??
“Nice place”
This is a little bit older then some places we have stayed at, but we were very happy with it and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
“Perfect location for Virginia Beach Boardwalk!”
This is an older hotel, but the staff keep it very clean. The room and bed was very comfortable. The check-in staff was friendly. If we are in Virginia Beach again, we will definately consider staying here again.

“Good Experience”
We had a good experience staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was full, but we did not hear any excessive noise or anything. It is located at the end of the boardwalk, so it is a good choice if you dont want to be in the heart of the chaos of the beach. I will stay there again.
“Great Value!!”
The location of the hotel was great, as was the price. The room seemed a bit small, but adequite. I really have not complaints about it. the people were friendly and helpful and the value was great. the only thing that could have been better was the free breakfast which consisted of jsut toast, oatmeal, and hard (overboiled) boiled eggs. Though there was coffee in the lobby all day which was very nice. Our room had a small stove which is very useful especially with longer stays. Would definately stay here again.
“Would go back not a bad stay”
I thought the staff was great at the front desk, very friendly, espcially the 4-12 staff. You ladies were great and really took the time to talk to my kids. It was great thanks for a great stay.
“Clean, practical and comfortable”
We love Budget Lodge at the Beach for several reasons. First, they are pet friendly and we are able to take our dog with us. Also, there are several areas where you can walk your dog close to the hotel. Second, Budget Lodge is practical and provides all you need at a fair price. Third, the location is great (across the street from the beach) and you can see the ocean from your room. Fourth, the rooms are nice and clean. And last, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
