“VERY HIGH STANDARD”

Excellent, refurbished throughout, lovely public house . The accomodation is of a high standard, the only downside being paperthin walls between rooms.

“Refurbished - and prices reflect this!!”

Food, although good was sparse and very expensive - a reflection on the refurbishment costs? Soup was less than half a small tin and cost £5!!!!!!! This cannot be justified. Room was small and confortable - very well furnished BUT there was a green 'safety' light in the ceiling that remainded on all night giving a green glow and no darkness - difficult to sleep. When mentioned the next day they said that EVERYBODY has asked/complained about it [apparently there is one in every room] - then why not do something about it and give us a good night's sleep! We we unfortunately in a room over the 'freezer/cooler' area so there was a loud 'hum' all night. All in all NOT a good stay, but in another room and eating elsewhere location was good and decor fresh and new. People were very freiendly and helpful.....after the event!
