“A really nice place to stay”
Before booking this hotel I did a scan on the internet of what people were saying about it, so I my expectations were quite high :) It was an absolute pleasure. Nice room, very well designed. Very professional staff, very pleasant, always there when needed and very very clean room. Nice I was there with my daugther and she was so pleased with the unlimited internet access and it is very important for a 14 years old :) The location is not central (10minutes walk) but it wasn't a problem as there is so much to see and do during that walk.

“Modern, convenient hotel in Lille”
Large modern clean rooms by European standards located conveniently close to the Lille Europe station and the convention center.
“Good (If not excellent) Hotel.... Bad Location”
Simple check in. Quiet room on a high floor as requested on arrival. Staff English, though basic was enough. Room itself was nice and modern with lots of lighting, great bathroom, and comfortable single beds. Restaurant we visited on first evening was a disaster. This was the restaurant just outside the Casino to the left. My wife's fish was smothered in cheese to the point where you couldn't taste the fish. My mussels and chips was so overcooked, majority of the mussels had broken apart within their shells. Breakfast was fine, but how can you go wrong with croissants and pastries served with coffee. The casino is a welcome distraction in the evening as there are a couple of bars in there, and enough distractions to while away the evening. The key issue with this hotel is it's location. It's just that little too far from the town center to be convenient. Regardless of what other reviews have said, it is a good 15 minutes walk to Grande Place where all the sights, bars, and restaurants are located. When you're full of wine and food, the walk is just far enough to be inconvenient. The walk itself is fine during the day as there is a great deal of traffic down a busy street just outside the Euralille shopping mall, but towards the end of the night the street is dimly lit with many parked cars, and a bit disconcerting even as a couple. If you took the Gare Europa route, it adds an addition 5-10 minutes to the walk each way. Checkout was fine, once they corrected my bill.
