“Good Stay”
The only problem was the key card didn't work twice, but I went to the front desk and it was corrected promptly.
“Lowest price but good enough to stay”
The best value hotel in Chicago Airport area.
“Travelers is fine.”
Staff is nice and friendly, room was fine but could have been cleaner, location was good and price was great! Nice little lounge off the hotel if you are inclined where everyone was very nice as well.
“Clean & Comfortable, Good for the Price”
Not a bad place for the price. Appears to be family-run ("newly-remodeled"); while the building looks a little shady on the outside you can tell that the owners really have tried hard to make the best of what they have. The fixtures (bath, A/C) were outdated, but the bathroom was absolutely spotless :) and the bed seemed new and was VERY comfy! Overall we appreciated the effort and would recommend this place to someone just passing through/staying 1-2 nights and looking to save some money.
“Not bad at the price”
The staff were very nice and helpful. New management, however, had removed the promised microwaves & refrigerators from all the rooms. Wireless Internet access, as someone else has mentioned, was unavailable in rooms far from the office, and sometimes iffy even near the office. It took three tries to find me a room with working wireless, but the desk clerk kept at it until we succeeded. The "business center" is a tiny desk and old computer crammed into the office hall. The rooms were clean but somewhat shabby and in disrepair. My bathroom ceiling had a big hole in it and a ripped lampshade dangled over the bed. The bed was very comfy and the cleaning staff good and accommodating. No bugs; that's always good. Not enough electrical outlets: I had to add an extension of my own. Lots of awkward road construction at present, but you can figure out how to access the parking lot with a bit of effort. Not too noisy, although the possibility is there: right on a busy road, across from a police station & tornado siren, weekly rates and thus some people hanging out late at night. Overall though, for me, it was acceptable. I was looking for cheap and hoping not to get stung. There were no hidden fees or extra charges at the end of my stay. I would stay again if my plans involved being out most of the time.
“film-ripe, fading motel charm”
The room was nice and quiet, but very dry and extremely overheated. I switched off what seemed to be the heating and by the morning the temperature was bearable. The first receptionist forget to give me the internet password - I didn't ask for it because it said "Free Internet". The receptionist the next morning was very helpful and friendly.
“Nice, But Cold”
My stay was really great. It was clean, well maintained, and the service was great. The only issue I had was that I got so cold. I had to wear my jacket and shoes the entire time I was in my room because otherwise I could not stop shivering. It was located in a pretty convenient place too.
“OK for an overnighter”
My wife and I stayed here overnight because it was located just down the road from our final travel destination and the other reviews I had read sounded good. This is an older establishment and although it is right across the street from the police station, it also sits adjacent to a night club so the hotel appears to be the crashing ground for some regulars in the area as well. There was shouting, hollering and banging in neighboring rooms in the early hours of the morning waking us out of our sleep several times. Fortunately it did come to an end rather abruptly and we were finally able to get some shuteye. The room was clean and equipped with amenties with the exception of a hair dryer. I went to the front desk and asked if they had one but found out there was only one for the entire facility and it was missing nor did they have record of who had borrowed it. After checking out, my wife was fortunate to find a hair salon in the civic center shopping area not far away where she could take care of business. Given the circumstances, the overall experience was acceptable, however, I wouldn't wouldn't recommend Traveler's Inn to everybody.
“A bit smelly”
My first room smelled musty and it was hard to breathe in. Th temp outside was above 90 and the air conditioning in the room didn't work! The management changed my room the next day and I was quite happy the rest of my trip.
“you get what u pay”
small room, very outdated amenities (A/C), good for a nights stay, worth the money paid, 20 minutes from Ohare.
