“The ultimate get-away!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Curacao Hyatt Resort. Because it just opened in April, the facility was in fabulous condition and the support staff was around every corner to address any need or answer any question. The open air design of the common areas provided 360 degree views of the grounds, beautiful pool area with cabanas and well-appointed lounge areas. Live music played nearly every evening in the two main restaurants....Medi and The Shor. And, the food and service in both restaurants was among the best that we have ever enjoyed. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
“Curacao Hyatt Regency Resore...the BEST resort I've been to yet!”
This resort was amazing. It was beautiful, clean, with great landscaping and wonderful food!
“Great Hotel”
I travel a lot this one of the nicest Hyatt's I have ever stayed at and a great hotel on the island. The staff was fantastic and the hotel was beautiful. The hotel has two drawbacks: 1. the location is isolated- 25 minustes from town and 2. the food is terrible. The food at the Grill is ok however the "Med" was awful and should be avoided with the exception of breakfast.
“wonderful stay!”
my first time there and was so impressed. I checked in at 3:00 am and I was surprised for the special atention and friendliness of hotel staff even at those hours . the room was cozy and elegant and the beach is very nice. remember to rent a car when you go there because is a 30 minutes ride to downtown. they are by far the best option to stay on Curacao.
“Perfect for R&R”
This was my first trip to Curacao. I was looking for a quiet, relaxing get away. The resort property was about 30 minutes from the downtown area of Willemstad. The resort was great. The facilities were new and well maintained. Rooms were good sized and clean. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. There were two pools and a nice sized beach. The resort's golf course was great and very scenic. Golfers should bring extra balls. The spa was also great for massages, but the addition of a steam room and sauna would have made it first class. The food in the restaurants was very good. I ventured out to Willemstad and walked around the waterfront area in the late afternoon and stayed for dinner, which was enough for me, as I was not there to shop. Cabs are very expensive, so you might want to rent a car, if you are looking to venture about the island.
“The best in Curacao”
Simply great. First class attention of all staff. Little out of way, recommend to rent a car. Good kitchen.
“Excellent Facility, but remote”
The hotel facility itself is magnificent, and it has an equally stunning view, being situated right on the beach. The food at the hotel's restaurants is good, although like most hotels, it is expensive -- perhaps 20 to 30% more than eating in Willemstad. The only major drawback of this hotel / resort is that it is EXTREMELY remote -- it takes about 30 minutes by car to get to Willemstad, so unless you pay for an expensive taxi ride or rent a car and attempt to navigate the area on your own, you're pretty much stuck taking tours from the hotel or staying there for your entire visit. That said, they do offer good tours, and the on-site dive shop (Ocean Encounters) is top-notch. They offer several good dives from this location, and for a nominal fee ($10) on certain other offering, they arrange transportation for you to alternate facilities. The pools are quite adequate, and the service staff are excellent. There is a golf course affiliated with the hotel
“Will defintely return”
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Curacao and recommend it highly. Located on the only natural sand beach in Curacao, the Hyatt is in a beautuful, secluded area. The hotel itself and its grounds are beautiful, and the sunsets are stunning. The hotel has pretty much everything you could want for a vacation site, from golf to sailing, so you don't have to leave the premises - although I would recommend you do, and the island has some great sites to see and terrain to explore. Every dinner we had at Shor, one of the restaurants on premises, was delicious, and we felt it was one of the best restaurants, both in terms of food and service, on the island. If you stay at this hotel, I recommend reserving a room with an ocean view.
“Beautiful hotel great for total relax”
If you are looking for relaxation, this a great place to go. It's quite isolated from the city and other sites, but if you are after a nice beach, with some OK snorkelling, a great pool and fantastic rooms and service then this is a great option. There is a small shop onsite to buy general provisions, plus 3-4 restaurants for lunch and evening meal, all of which are of decent quality. The sushi is especially worth visiting, and the Italian gelato shop. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the architecture of the hotel is impressive. I'd definitely recommend a visit for those looking to disconnect from the world and take it easy.
“Great vacation choice”
Overall our hotel stay was great. The hotel site might have been a little misleading since the spa packages were not the same and the impression we got for the dining was a little different. The hotel treatment was over and above what we expected however.
