“Fantastic Hotel, Lovely owner and full of character! Very Impressive!!!”
Oour room was very cosy and although not huge it was sufficient for the two of us, the bed was hard but extremely comfy and our bedroom window overlooked the street we were on and a little of the old town shops. the room was warm and the bathroom was clean and spacious enough. There was a shower and toilet and a sink, all that was required to first time visitors to nice. The room had two water bottles which were charged. The tv in the room has the option to change the language to english for people who dont speak french. The breafast runs from 7am to 10.30am (i think!) and it is a continental breakfast including corn flakes, muesli, fruit, yogurt, egg how you like it, bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, ham, cheese, tea, orange juice and coffee. Very reasonable for the price. The room service comes daily and is as expected, clean sheets, bed made and towel changed, the staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you, the owner is a lovely lady and is very accommodating. This hotel is a fantastic hotel and i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the old town of nice, it is literally across the road from gare routiere (bus station) and also 1 minute away from the tram system. The hotel is an old building but exquisitely decorated which just makes your stay even more homely. Upon leaving the hotel we left the owner with a bunch of flowers as we felt this hotel helped us to enjoy nice more than we thought we would.
“A lovely little hotel”
Quite unusual for such a big city. Small hotel. Charming personal service. Quirky decoration.
“Very good value”
Very well situated on the edge of the old town area. Lovely to eat breakfast outside on the pavement. Room and bathroom were on the cosy side but very clean and well maintained. Would definately go back.
“A lovely taste of the real Nice.”

“Super!”
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Villa La Tour for one night in late September. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was very nice. We were surprised to find air conditioning and a very modern bathroom. Great location in the old part of the city. We would definitely stay here again.
“Brilliant hotel”
This is a fantastic hotel. So easy to get to from the airport and situated in a really lovely part of Nice. There is a lot of building work at the moment because of the new tram line but it was still a great place to stay. Great value as well. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. The staff are lovely and friendly. Our room was small but we were hardly in it and it was immaculate. We spent evenings on the roof terrace at night with our french red wine and have now discovered that we like rose as well! Cave de la Tour opposite was also fantastic and can recommend the food and wine. Not far to stagger home! The only slight downfall is that there is no lift as mentioned by previous reviews but just take a smaller bag. You only have to take it up once and bring it down once so it is no great problem. Enjoy your holiday. Au revoir
“Nice - October 2011”
Hotel is a little dated and room a little small but it contained everything needed, double bed, storage for clothes, small table & stall. Hotel does not have a lift & stairs are narrow so not really suitable for people with mobility problems or a lot of luggage . Room top terrace was small but very nice place to sit with a coffee & pastry! Service was very good & the location was excellent - on the edge of the old town. Port was a short walk, transport links to other parts of Nice were also nearby. There is also a Monoprix (supermarket) near the hotel - handy for water & snacks. A number of restaurants nearby were always busy - so handy for places to eat
“Simple, French and well located.”
I wanted to visit 2 major Art galleries and did. -- the Matisse Museum and the Chagall museum. I walked back to Villa La Tour from the first (taking in the beautiful houses and buildings en route) and visited the second during that walk. The next day, I found the beach, a contrasting visit with my first day, and again within easy reach. What I really appreciated -- no need for expensive taxi fares. The bus takes you from Nice airport to the Gare Routiere (bus terminal), literally a few steps from the hotel which is quietly and delightfully hiddden away. Once there, walking is easy and rewarding. The Place Garibaldi is also very close complete with shops super coffee shops. You can easily check times etc for getting back to the airport. I wanted a short break, clearly not too expensive and for it to be FRENCH. It was!
“Very nice hotel in Nice”
The hotel was clean and comfortable with a wonderful location, close to the beaches and the flower market. It was located on a pedestrian only street with a lovely outside area with tables and chairs where we had our breakfast each day. There were many restaurants and shops all within walking distance.
“Very hospitable.”
The entire staff was very gracious and accomodating.
