“The positives outweigh the few negatives”

I decided to stay at Hotel Oasis after being satisfied upon reading the positive reviews about the hotel online, and for the most part the comments were accurate. The hotel is located a five minute walk from the beach on one side and the train station in the other, with only the single road to walk along. The rooms are comfortable, with a television, fridge and personal balcony. My issues with the hotel started with the hotel wifi access. The signal is very weak and it is difficult to get a strong and consistent connection. The receptionist simply said to try logging on again later, which I felt was an unsatisfactory response. The breakfast was also pricey, but I bought cereal/milk from a local shop and used the tea making facilities in the room. I also found the shower a little annoying as the awkward position of the shower head resulted in water escaping from the shower unit onto the floor. I informed the staff about this, but the attendant simply directed me to leave a towel on the floor to soak up the water. Overall, a pleasant stay for 3 nights, which I would recommend if you're looking for a base from which to explore Nice.
