“good location, good price”
the room was decent, i had a balcony overlooking the street, the hotel was just blocks from "old nice" and the reception staff was friendly enough. i got in so late each night, i had to knock on the front door to get the guy to open it for me and i had to sleep though the breakfasts so can't comment on them at all! a good choice overall.
“Good value”
Very small room but good value.Well situated. Ten minute walk to bus station. The bus to Monaco is only one Euro.
“Nice place.”
Perfect location, close to everything.
“Great location and friendly staff”
The location of the hotel is gold. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room is small but clean. Recommended if you are a student like me who is traveling on a budget and want to live within waking distance to major attractions.
“Perfect for the one or two nights”
Travelling with wife and daughter and booked one room with 3 beds. Location was ideal and hotel was perfect for a short stay. You do not use your hotel in Nice for anything other than sleeping anyway as there is so much to do. Staff were very helpful. The gentleman who booked us in on the evening was a little brusk but was actually very pleasant and could not have been more helpful All part of the personality of the place. Morning staff were smiling and the breakfast was much better than I was expecting for the price.
“Cheap and good”
Hotel was simple, clean and very near the old town, which is a plus and very near the metro. If you just want the basics, I would recommend the hotel. Nothing fancy, but I would return.
“3 jours sur nice”
2 nuit sur nice a deux pas de la place massena et du vieux nice .hotel calme dans petite rue adjacente (a l ombre)simple mais confortable .on reviendra surement
“Not a bad place”
This hotel was quaint, but not the nicest. We stayed for only 1 night, but had a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly, and they all spoke fairly well English. The room had clean seets and french doors which lead to our own small balcony. The walls and carpet seemed a little dingy, and small details aren't something they have concerned themselves with. If you can handle that, it's a great place to stay. It's a short 5 minute walk to the beach, nice restaurants are close by, as well as the main shopping strip. All around, if you're not too prissy of a person this hotel is recommended.
“Typical French two star hotel, very good location, quiet room but bathroom very small”
The staff are very friendly and helpful, when we arrived at the hotel at 10am, they already had a room for us and explained the limitations of the bathroom, which was OK if you just want a shower. We asked if there was a room with a bath and they had one but it was book for the next two days, so we reserved it, on the third day we looked at the room which was at the rear, but it was too noisey, so we asked if we could return to our original room, which they didn't mind. We've stayed in the hotel before and would recommend a room in the front as the rear bedrooms suffer from noise coming from the early morning refuse collection, the breakfast is basic but what do you expect for the price. The location is very good for everything is Nice.
“Acanthe is nice - in Nice”
The place was clean and bright. The location was really good - close to the beach. The people there spoke flawlesss English - so I did not get a chance to work on my French there. Rooms on the small side, but after staying in Hostel's the previous week, this place was a breath of fresh air.
