“An excellent stay”
Everything was pleasant and efficient. Great breakfast. Wine and cheese was a nice touch.
“Loved it!”
the Harbour Inn was very nice. Beautiful and comfortable accomadations..lovely view overlooking the Niagara River. Walking distance to great restaurants.
“Fantastic hotel”
We stayed at this hotel for one night in Dec 2009. When we booked the room we were looking for a nice romantic room with a fireplace. The hotel ended up meeting our expectations and more. The staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Since we showed up just after their daily wine tasting, they were kind enough to send two glasses of wine, cheese, and fruit up to our room for us to enjoy. The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable, and they had music playing softly on the radio for when we entered (there were also cookies!) They recommended a wonderful place for dinner and even offered to make reservations and shuttle us there. Being able to soak in the tub and then curl up next to the fire before going to bed was a wonderful experience too. The breakfast downstairs was delicious, and even if you plan on staying in bed all day, at least make it down for the food. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in NOTL or going to the falls (only 20-30 minute drive). We will likely be back in the future as we got engaged at the falls, and Harbour House will definitely be the first place we look to for reservations
“Quaint Hotel by the Heart of NOTL”
Beautiful hotel, setting, everything! The breakfast was very good (not quite as extravagant as the other reviews made it out to be). The hotel has a wine tasting every evening at 4 which was lovely, along with a DVD collection to borrow from. It's a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) which has many shops and restaurants to offer. The hotel also has a free shuttle service that you can use for dinner reservations at any of the surrounding wineries. It's about a 25 minute drive from Niagara Falls, which we also visited. I will be returning to the Harbour House - it has the quaintness of a B&B with more privacy (as the rooms are very hotel like). It is the PERFECT combination. I recommend this hotel to everyone! For families traveling with small children (this comment is coming from someone who loves children) - there were a few families staying at the time we were there with extremely well behaved children - these children were a pleasure. My recommendation is, because of the nature of the majority clientele, children are fine to bring here, BUT if your children are a bit unpredictable / unruly (as many children are - which is fine :-) you may be more comfortable staying elsewhere. I could anticipate some of the other clientele being very finicky about children being around, and no parent likes to receive bad looks or even comments when their children misbehave.
“Diamond in the rough....”
We had a wonderful time at the Inn, and the greatest touch was having wine at the Inn and meeting others. Enjoy as we did...don't tell too many people.
“A Lovely Getaway”
We read numerous positive and glowing reviews before booking our stay, and Harbour House did not disappoint. The service was friendly and impeccable - clearly the staff are proud of their workplace. A lovely, spotless, comfortable room. Very warm, welcoming and relaxing. A great find. We will return!
“Harbour House - Niagara on the Lake”
We had a wonderful time staying at the Habour House. In fact, we extended our stay in Niagara on the Lake for an additional day since we were having so much fun and we so pleased with the accomidations. We travelled there during the first week of December and spent most of our time exploring the regions wineries - a very pleasant surprise. We would higly recommend the region and Habour House to any wine lovers who have not previously explored the area!
“It doesn't get any better than Harbour House!!”
We had a wonderful experience at the Harbour House. Our room was wonderful, clean, comfortable, luxurious........every detail you could possibly want was included. The staff was wonderfully helpful, even driving us to a local restaurant for dinner so that we could enjoy our beverages and not worry about driving home. The breakfast was delicious, featuring hot and cold buffet items, all very fresh. It was hard to leave, but we know we will be returning.
“WOW great hotel!”
Great place we just loved it !!!! loved the shuttle service they provide to resteraunts very clean nice friendly staff too!
“Awesome.”
We had a great time here. The room, the fireplace, the bath tub and the DVD collection were awesome! It's perfectly located (quiet and peaceful) but is close enough the main street. Overall, I don't think that I have ever stayed at a better hotel. Next time I'm in the area and I find a deal on Expedia for this place, I am definitely booking it!
