Perched above the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Crowne Plaza Newton is six miles from downtown Boston and ten miles from the airport. A medical center, the shopping district and the university are also close at hand.
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for guests staying at the hotel. There are two complimentary workstations in the business center, and 7 meeting rooms are provided.
An indoor pool and fitness center have floor-to-ceiling windows with turnpike views. Martha's Restaurant provides American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also offers a cocktail service.

The hotel provides an indoor pool and adjacent fitness center containing cardio machines, bicycle machines, a strength-training machine, and free weights. Both pool and fitness center have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Massachusetts Turnpike/I-90.
A quarter mile away, the Newton YMCA includes two pools, a basketball court, outdoor and indoor running tracks, and a fitness center offering classes such as yoga, Pilates, and spinning (surcharges). Newton Commonwealth Golf Course, open to the public, is 1.5 miles from the hotel.

“Pleasantly surprised”
I had read some not-so-great reviews of this hotel, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was under new management, and we found it to be very nice in every respect. Various renovations were either complete or underway, and everything in our room was very clean.
“Very Nice Hotel!”
We found the hotel to be very convenient for our trip. Staff was great! Room was newly remodeled, We would definitely stay here again!!
“Far from center of town but really good value”
The hotel is directly above the highway but this wasn't a problem in terms of noise. Also, outside there is an ok neighborhood so you don't really feel the big street. Staff very friendly, it was hot and we were given unlimited free water bottles. The breakfast/lunch offer in the restaurant was very good. We stayed with kids and found the room very clean. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was out of service but the friendly restaurant staff pointed us to the neighboring Y where apparently hotel guests can use the pool (not sure if free). Boston center is 10-15 min by car or you can take a local express bus. We were happy with the hotel and don't regret not staying in the city center. One more point to know is that parking in the hotel costs around twenty five dollars a night. We parked on the street (one hour parking during the day) and moved the car in the morning.

“Newton/Boston Hotel”
Hotel is a short drive from Boston, only a few minutes. Well worth it, for the value and cleanliness of the hotel.
“last minute Boston”
Not a 3 1/2 star motel. A little worn but not too bad. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Easy access to turnpike and city. Room was clean and comfortable. But the unusual motel location over the turnpike---actually spanning the turnpike! --- could be a problem for many sound wise. We were there over a holiday weekend so traffic was light and still needed the fan to help drown out sound. Also as others have mentioned know there is a $20 per night charge for parking and mass transit is a one mile walk away.
“Being remodeled, but still comfortable -- nice room!”
The hotel was being remodeled, and the corridors were still being worked on. It strattles the freeway, and being on the 12th (top) floor, we had fun watching the cars on the freeway. The new room was quite comfortable, and quiet. Housekeeping was promp and good. We recommend it.
“Great Stay just 25 min bus ride ($1.50) from the city”
I stayed during the renovations and it was a great experience I can only imagine how even nicer it will be once they are finished. I stayed 3 nights and my room was perfect thanks to the cleaning ladies each day! The bus stops right across the street and is only $1.50 each way to the city so you don't have to spend a lot on cabs. It takes about 25 min coming and going to the city because of all the stops but it goes quickly and offers views of various neighborhoods. I can't recommend this place enough! Book it!
“Best In the Area”
I travel everywhere. All 50 states, all 7 continents. I randomly stumbled upon the CP in Newton to spend a night in Boston with my Mom. I fully take notice of service, amenities, friendliness of staff, etc. wherever I go based on having had many similar type experiences. This place gets 5 stars for all-the staff especially.

Personnel were very pleasant and helpful, especially the consierge and housekeeping. Room service food was very good. Rooms were very big and beds were clean and extremely comfortable. Very accessible to highways.
