We loved the metal bed frames that sounfed like a clap of thunder every time you moved an inch on them. Also loved the people outside selling their.. Goods and slamming doors every 10 minutes or so. What really sealed the deal was the cockroach we found behind the toilet scurry away faster than we scurried next door to another hotel. Godspeed.

Room was nasty, you got hair in the bed, floor was dirty, the crawling was falling apart. The costumer service was horrible, the manager was never at the place and when he show up give me attitude, I end up leaving 5 min after getting my room and went to another hotel because of the bad conditions of the room. They told me to call the next day for the refund and now they are not able to help and also told me that if they were gonna refund me is not gonna be the full amount because I did check in even I didn’t even drop my bags at the room. Don’t recommend whatsoever, spend a lil bit more of money but get you a nice place

This place had roaches bad i had to complain about the tv i had to turn it off every 15 minutes to reset it and the staff never came to fix it holes in the wall and it wasn't clean

Property is very low key and quiet. Nice rooms at an affordable rate and nicer than any other Red Roof I have visited. Unfortunately, the bathroom floor was dirty and there were noticeable bugs so I would only rate the cleanliness as being average.

The room was really clean except there were a plie of dry leaves behind the main door. I think they must have blown under the door cause there was a huge gap, and there were no garbage cans in the room which was wierd.

They also would not refund me for the two nights that we didn't stay due to there were no working locks on our bedroom door and there were cockroaches. Cardio room was also tore apart ceiling falling down with paint on the floor. We were more than happy to pay for the one night we stayed until we found the cockroaches they would not reimburse us for the other two nights that we did not stay.

The entire room had been completely remodeled except the mattress which was very uncomfortable so we didn’t get an entire nights rest the whole weekend. The people in the room next to us were very noisy late at night and early in the morning which kept waking us up and making our dogs bark but other than that the stay was pretty good not to far from malls,stores,restaurants,Yorktown,& Williamsburg which are great places for shopping and dining.

We stayed here for a weekend and we had roaches in our room, the floor in the bathroom had dirt boot marks, the toilet did not flush, the shower did not drain, there was no trash can, the refrigerator stopped working. When we went to complain we waited for over 30 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. We stayed because we had nowhere else to go but I definitely want some type of compensation. I have pictures and everything

Avoid this property at all cost. Staff is completely rude. The night of my stay there was a party going on, people smoking weed throughout the hotel, people running up and down the hallways, knocking and banging on doors, they were drunk wondering around the hotel making all kinds of noises. The room was half decent, left over soap boxes on top of the shelves in the bathrooms and overall just an unpleasant stay. I was denied a refund to take my business elsewhere to get some sleep. Do not go here.

Property is under renovations but there was roaches in my room!! TV input had pornographic pictures stored in it and it played as a screensaver.

Had to drive through construction site to enter building. Some areas are being worked on while staying there. Very polite staff, no dinning, no coffee(the staff sent us to walk to another hotel that was nearby for coffee).

We stay in Newport News often and like to give independently owned businesses an opportunity. I made our reservation for a king bed room through Expedia as you could not do it on the hotel website. I was given a room with 2 doubles and when I questioned it desk staff said it was what Expedia ordered and would not change it. I verified with Expedia and they had reserved king room. Pet fee posted was $15 I was charged $20. Broken window in building B entrance allowing bugs in. Hallways appears to have not been cleaned in months. In room no working t.v., no coffee pot and supplies, no available ice or cups, no trash can in the unit, no tissues. Fighting dogs in nearby room was a little frightening. I asked for a receipt at checkout and was told to get it from Expedia even though I had paid cash for our stay. I did finally get my receipt. Never again.
