Hidden treasure
Serena and Shauna were just incredible hosts! The breakfast was really great with innovative custom dishes with a new menu every day. It’s located in a very peaceful and tranquil residential area and a 15 minute walk to the wharf shops and other attractions The rooms were all very modern as was the bathroom with a nice size stand up shower and lots of drawer space for a couple Just a delightful place with such friendly hosts We will be back!!!!

This B&B was so beautiful and peaceful. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly. My only complaint was the street noise early in the morning.

This property is beautiful! Private "shed" to relax in is very quaint. The room was very clean and comfortable! Parking and surrounding area is most relaxing! Serena greeted us with her beautiful smile & made us feel so welcome! She was easy to stay in touch with too for anything I needed. I would absolutely recommend this property for the New Port experience!!

The property was incredibly clean, the staff was the nicest staff i've ever met at an Inn or hotel. Breakfast was perfect. I've never filled out one of these in probably 500 hotel visits. This place was exceptional

Perfect location and even better breakfast
We decided to travel to Newport for our anniversary and stay at the Town and Tide Inn. We made the right decision. The room was comfortable and cozy. Amenities in the room were spot on. We enjoyed every aspect of the room. However, as impressive as the room was, the breakfast each morning was even better. The staff is friendly and the food was amazing. It was the best breakfast options we have had at any place we have stayed. I am not even a breakfast person, but I found myself making sure I took advantage every morning. We will stay here again next time we come to Newport.

Great place to stay. Staff was excellent, curtious, and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Location was great with walkable distance to beach, cliffwalk, mansions shopping dining, and downtown Newport.. room was clean spacious. With lage bathroom and walk in shower.. will probably book again for next visit to Newport and would highly recommend..

Very nice inn, excellent breakfast each day, staff really helpful and friendly, attending to every need. The only thing as a negative is that in the summer the room was humid despite air conditioning and, as a result, the bedding was damp and clammy. Otherwise a great stay!

Staff was incredibly nice, property was clean, but parking was tough (too many spots in tiny side area) and the inn is LOUD. We could hear every door close, etc. We were in room 1 and could hear all the traffic from Memorial Drive all night long.

Very disappointing experience
Families beware! Nowhere in the booking will you read (much less be asked to verify that you are aware) that children under 10 are not allowed on the property. After a four-hour drive we arrived for a three-night stay only to be turned away and told children weren't allowed. No room at the Town & Tide Inn for us!! They were able to place us in another of their many properties but charged us a $264 "upgrade fee." I've written to the property to alert them that nowhere (on hotels.com or when I spoke to them directly when booking) does it state kids aren't allowed. I asked that they reconsider the "upgrade fee" but they will not. What would we have done if town was full that weekend?! Disappointing experience all around. Bookers beware.

Beautifully renovated property! The grounds are also well kept. Parking was a bit tight but nice to have a reserved spot. After hours check in was super easy. Breakfast in the morning was amazing! This is a small hotel that is conveniently located walking distance to the downtown yet in a quiet area. The staff is friendly and really helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Definitely recommend!

Glorious vacation
Tide and Town was wonderful. We stayed in the front room with the largest window seat in the bay-window. The room faces a main street, but even that was well thought out with a sound machine! The bed was perfect, as was the bedding. Great shower. Breakfast was divine each of our 3 mornings. Melissa is a phenomenal chef (hope you get to hear her sing!). We walked to downtown in less than 15 minutes, to the Cliff Walk in 2 blocks, the beach in 3 blocks. Selena and all staff were personable and attentive, thank you for a glorious vacation!

We just recently attended a family wedding in Newport and booked our stay at Town & Tide. From the moment we arrived, Melissa (inn keeper and guest coordinator) made our stay one of the nicest mini-vacations we've ever had. The property is so quaint and private (which you wouldn't think being on the Main Street) Melissa showed us to our room, which was a small. bungalow-like studio tucked at the back of the property. It was very comfortable with a full kitchen, living room/dining room area, and a beautiful bedroom with a fireplace and en-suite bathroom. Just off the bedroom is the MOST lovely porch overlooking their tastefully landscaped courtyard with beautiful shade trees, bluestone patios, rock walls and a koi pond. The porch has deep, comfortable seating and privacy drapes, too that allowed us to have a glass of wine outside and relax as the rain passed. There is also "The Shed" - a community guest house/quiet space/reading nook overlooking the back courtyard with comfy seating and a beverage station with all that you need to enjoy a cup of coffee or wine (byob). The bed was very comfortable, as was the pull out sofa in the living room that our daughter slept on. Our breakfast the next morning in their community gathering space was perfect. I was able to get up early and work a bit at their larger dining table that comes complete with charging ports and then join my family at their smaller breakfast tables that are separated nicely by a small fireplace wall.

Love this hotel
We really like this hotel. Very clean and cosy. The innkeepers (Lisa and Melissa) were very welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The location is also great, 5 min to 10 min walk to Cliff walk, beach and downtown. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lisa was a great host. The rooms was very cozy. Location is excellent and quite near to the cliff walk and tennis hall of fame. Also a CVS nearby for quick needs. Breakfast service and food was also yummy. No fake eggs here.

This was a 1-night getaway on a “between meetings” day in a weeklong hectic business trip. So we wanted someplace relaxing and restful. Tide & Town was just what we needed. We’re generally wary of B&Bs because the quality can vary so much. But T&T was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, great service, efficient check-in/out, easy parking, and beautiful grounds. Our only issue was minor - we could still hear (in our room) the soft background music they play in the garden at 1130 at night. Apparently the timer should have shut it off earlier, but got out of whack. We would stay again.
