“Nice, new, clean and can walk to beaches and restaurants”

The hotel is faily new, very clean and near to beaches and restaurants. All within 1 2 minute walk.

“surprisingly just right”

Arrived after a long drive in the fog, to a very pleasant reception. Without request, front desk clerk reassigned us to her best available room. Room was toasty warm and spotless and had a nice view of the pond. Some water damage in ceiling corner, did not affect our stay. After seeing breakfast offerings, we went into town for breakfast, but we did help ourselves to complimentary fresh fruit and coffee, which were good. The location was convenient; just a short walk to the water and a five minute drive into Newport. Hope to return for another off season weekend!

“Location is the best thing about this hotel ...”

If you would like a place to just sleep then this place is ok, If you want to actually spend some time in your hotel room STEER CLEAR Following complaints: Toilets don't flush properly Sinks don't drain Ceiling has water damage if you are on the third floor. I came back to my room at 2pm and my room still wasn't made up! (seriously - they need more staff in this place). Breakfast is across the street at the Comfort Inn. You are feeding not one but TWO hotels - SOME people don't want to eat unhealthy and would prefer toast over sugary danishes and muffins. Have more than ONE toaster as well. If you are sleeping on the pull out couch - blanket is dirty. I don't think there is effort in this place and they don't care about their standards. Clearly this place needs some fixing, and for the amount of money they charge, I don't know what they are using the money for. Also when we checked in - There were Mentos Mints on the floor - so the maids even check or vacum the place? The only good thing about this place is the location. It's across the street from the beach and you get 10% off at Atlantic Beach Club Restaurant And to end my rant - JUST because the room has a microwave and a fridge, it does not make it a suite.

“Money wasted”

We didn't expect too much from the Quality Inn but did expect a little more for the money we had to spent. The room wasn't ready when we arrived even though it was after check-in time. The people at the front desk seemed very nonchalant about it, like it was our problem and not theirs. Their was no public bathroom in the hotel we had to walk across the street to a "sister-Hotel". Same goes for the poor continental breakfast. The small breakfast area was way to small for the guests of two hotels. There was construction going on next door which made the area even busier and noisier. Not impressed at all for the money they charged.

“Would condider other options”

The hotel itself was nice enough. The hotel staff was friendly but not all that helpful. At other hotels we often receive assistance loading heavy bags into our car trunks if a young man was in the area. When we were leaving and loading our car two young men stood watched us muscle our bags into the trunk. One of them lending a hand would have been nice. The cleaning service was not acceptable either. We returned to our room 2 days in a row at 4:oopm and the room had still not been made up. The biggest nuisance was the elevator. It was extremely slow, the door wouldn't shut and alarmed several times when it was trying to close. We were extremely concerned we were going to be stuck in it.

“Christmas stay away”

Christmas day and off season I did not have huge expectations. The continental breakfast was across the street at a different hotel not at all convenient nor impressive once seen. I would say I didn't get the great deal from Expedia I had hoped for.

“Great location, Poor Room Quality”

Beware of small black ants! Room clearly had water problems. Marks/Stains on walls,carpets, and ceilings. Wallpaper peeling off walls. Staff was very nice and friendly. Gave great recomendations.

“Not so nice town that I would not go back”

I know this hotel is a good price, but I really don't want to recommend this place. It's spacious, but very outdated. People who are staying in this hotel also not that nice either when you think about what they can afford to come to this hotel. The breakfast is pretty bad, so the hotel recommends you to go across the street to go to the Comfort Inn for the breakfast, obviously, very crowded. Generally, Newport area is quite expensive for meals in restaurants, so not having a good breakfast in the hotel will eventually cost you much more than you would expect. If you are not from that area, and you look like an outsider(I'm an Asian), it's not a good idea to go to this town and expect others to be nice to you. And I'm serious. I would not go back to this hotel nor Newport.
