“Clean and comfortable in a great location for a value price”
Shilo Inn is clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and the location is excellent. It is not the most luxurious hotel in the area or as charming as the many great B&B's around but the price is right and the place is not bad.
“Not impresssed, basic amenities ok”
Had to wait for the clean staff to finish cleaning room to check in (arrived at 3:30pm on a Sunday); 'Continental' breakfast was disappointing - had a waffle machine, some apples/bananas, juice, cereal; overall, basic hotel, would go back;
“SO-so hotel”
Pictures of the place were accurate to the photos on TripAdvisor. We had an old TV instead of the flat panel that the websites boasted of. Room was okay. Not sure I would stay here again.
“Terrible check in experiance”
We checked in on a friday evening at 10PM.It took about 30 minutes and we were the only people in line. They blamed it on the computer!
“Just an okay place at an okay price”
Shiloh Newberg was an alright place for a night in the area of expensive hotels. The hair blower in the room didn't work and front desk had no other so I was let into an empty room to dry my hair. The microwave in the lobby didn't work for breakfast. Instructions on how to use the thermostat would have made it easier to turn on the AC. Other than these issues, the staff were friendly and the place was clean, beds were comfortable and the location is good.
“Horrible Fitness Equipment”
The mattress was improved over my last stay, the room was fine. THE FITNESS EQUIPMENT WAS EMBARRASSING!! I have never been on a more ancient treadmill in all my life. I was hoping to sneak in a run before and after work, and I chose to drive 10 miles up the road to the YMCA instead.
“Basic but friendly staff!”
Perfect location betwee Woodburn Outlet Mall and McMinnville Indoor water park. Breakfast was basic but Dutch Brothers half mile away made our morning even better! We felt safe and the retro look was cool. We had a real key to enter our room. We will return next time in town.
“Not what it could be”
My room wasn't cleaned the first day. Then when it was the didn't do a very good job. The staff were young and lazy. The breakfast was set up differently every day - I had to search for my boiled egg. There was no bread, just bagels and sweet rolls. I would have like to have seen wheat bread and peanut butter; usually a staple at those things. I asked for a wake-up call the day I was to leave, but it didn't come. When I checked out very early in the morning, the girl on duty was asleep, she kept stumbling around, she was unkempt and I was glad I was leaving. I come to Newberg once a month on business. I will go somewhere else to stay.
“Newly renovated. But WHEN?”
The sign outside said 'newly renovated'. That's odd, because everything in my room looked like vintage 1980s, including the tiny TV with the fuzzy picture, the giant old keys and the fridge that didn't close. If it had been a budget-priced hotel, I wouldn't really complain, but for what they charged, it was more like a bad joke.
“very bad”
there were only 4 channels on the television and most of the tv dont work very good, said there were wireless internet in the room they were not you had to go to loby if you wanted to hook up to the internet, we had to change to three rooms both becuase of tv problems last one becuase of the noise and the room, had a lot of mold very disappointed will not stay there again. sorry i usually i dont like to write these kind of things but this was my worst experince.
