Bonjour! En raison d’un transit, on a choisi cet hôtel pour la proximité de l’aéroport, afin de prendre du repos. L’hôtel paraît bien et est propre, les employés sont gentils, mais nous avons rencontré des problèmes techniques qui ont gâché notre séjour. 1. Le drain du bain aurait besoin d’un bon nettoyage, car il était bloqué. Quand on prenait une douche, l’eau restait dans le bain et recouvrait tous nos pieds. C’était désagréable. Nous avons très peu et mal dormi pour 2 raisons : 2. Le système d’eau de la cuve de toilette est défectueux et cela faisait en sorte que de l’eau coulait dans la cuve. Toute la nuit, on a entendu « clouk, clouk, clouk ». 3. Vers 22h, alors qu’on était couché, un bruit intense a commencé. Ça semblait venir de la tuyauterie de l’évier de la salle de bain. Le bruit commençait, arrêtait et recommençait. Un fort grondement. Je ne sais pas si l’hôtel effectuait des travaux dans la tuyauterie en pleine nuit, si c’était un problème de canalisation ou autre, mais cela nous a empêché de dormir. Nous avons réservé un hôtel dans le seul but d’aller s’y reposer entre nos 2 vols. On est plutôt repartis épuisés. J’ai parlé de ces problème à notre départ, sans insister, car il était 6 am, le manager ne semblait pas être là et on était pressés on devait prendre la navette de l’aéroport. @Expédia : Je demande un remboursement qui sera conséquent de ces inconvénients. I did not have great expectations as I was only staying there to get an early flight out of Newark. The hotel website and staff at the desk confirmed the shuttle leaves every 30 minutes. What they don't tell you is that the shuttle does not bring you to your terminal!! The shuttle driver was rude and dropped us off at another shuttle location that required several tram rides and a long walk to the terminal. Of course we did not factor this into our timing and barely made out flight.

I love Holiday Inn Express. This was the first time I stayed at this particular location. Like all of them it was very clean, nice rooms, super comfy beds. This location the staff was very, very nice. My only issue was my bathroom sink in room 809 didn’t drain very well. I was only there for the night so not a huge issue but just washing my face before bed and in the morning it filled up very quickly and then took quite a while to drain. Also the Keurig coffee machine in my room didn’t work. I filled it and put the K cup in. It turned on and the light saying it was brewing turned on but nothing happened. I tried twice. I had to catch the shuttle to the airport so I didn’t have time to figure out what was wrong. Another nice thing was our shuttle driver at 4am saw that the train terminal at the Newark airport had a number of homeless people inside which he felt might be unsafe. Therefore, he decided to drive us directly to our terminals so he could ensure we were all safe. That was nice and very responsible and I really appreciated that he went that extra mile. Overall it was great like they always are. Thank you.

The room we got, room 425, and it felt unsafe because the emergency door blocks the way out for the room. The person at the fd who checked us in was rude and really left a lot to desire with his customer service skills. The one person who was absolutely lovely to deal with was the young man who was in the cafeteria in the night shift, I hope he is recognized for his attentiveness.
