“Loved My Stay”
The hotel was directly across from Penn Station which meant a short ride into New York. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating ensuring that we knew how to get to the trains, the schedule etc. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was good and not pricey. The rooms were clean, large and the king size bed--I wanted to pack it up and take it home with me-lol. We have a very lovely stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Easy access to NYC! Awesome!”
I come to New York every month and this is the best value hotel with the easiest access to NYC hands down. There is nothing around the hotel and the area is not the best. But I go straight from the hotel to the train every time.
“Excellent Hotel...no complaints will go again!”
We went for the opening of Red Bull Arena and simply step out of the lobby, and one stop on the train. It was great! Really appreciated that you need your room key to use the elevator after 7pm a very nice safety feature.
“Would definitely stay here again”
This hotel was a great deal for the price. The beds/bedding were phenomenal, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel was quiet and secure. The train ride into NYC was a little longer than i would like (20-30 mins on NJ Transit for $4 each way or 30-40 minutes on the PATH train for $1.50 each way) but it was definitely worth it to save hundreds of dollars compared to staying in Manhattan.
“Great Hotel - Saved a fortune”
This was a great hotel. The PATH train into NYC is frequent and extremely handy. Staff in hotel were extremely helpful and the room was good. Beds extremely comfortable. Much cheaper than staying in the city itself. A good choice if you want a decent hotel without paying over the odds.
“Great Hotel Only 12 Mins on NJ Train into Madisson Square Gardens”
My daughter and I stayed here to celebrate her 16th birthday. We wanted to stay somewhere that we felt safe and secure. This hotel definitely gave us that. Your security room key card also gave you access to the lifts - no key card no lift - great security idea. Free shuttle from Airport took approximately 15 minutes. All the staff were friendly and it was a clean and comfortable hotel - in fact our beds were v comfy - the pillows were particularly soft. Room service was quick and food very good. There are a few sandwich bars/starbucks/macdonalds/dunkin donuts in the walkway - which is super convenient to grab something quick before heading off on the train in NYC. Each room has its own thermostat so that you can achieve the correct temperature for you - lovely when it was particularly cold when we visited this November. This is a great alternative to staying in the city - we definitely gained a better quality hotel for the price you would expect to pay in NYC. We would without doubt stay at this hotel again. Super convenient and felt very safe within the hotel and walkway.
“VERY GOOD HOTEL”
For the price this hotel was very well worth it. Penn Station is across the street and Lower Manhattan is just a 20 minute ride away on the PATH train. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about New York City. The room was clean and spacious. When hotels in Manhattan are $300 or more for a room the size of a closet, this hotel is well worth the price. I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting New York City.
“Great Stay!”
I took a little vacation for the holidays. My stay at the Hilton was superb. The hotel was accomodating and the restaurants with the hotel had really good food. Transportation was great to NYC. I took the Path to NYC whenever I wanted or the NJ Transit. If I was bored I went around the corner to Ferris St. and enjoyed myself at the different pubs and taverns in the area! It was an excellent vacation and I would do it again!
“Thrilled”
The Hilton Newark was an excellent place to stay for our trip to the Big Apple. We couldn't find any last minute accomodation within NYC and our price range for the weekend but it didn't matter as the hotel is so close to the subway and only a short trip into the city. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfy and it was all very easy. I'd definitely stay there on our next trip to the city.
“excellent hotel!”
incredibly convenient, with the train station connected to the hotel. surrounding area isn't the best, but really no need to visit it.
