“Excellent location”

Good location close to Penn Station. Good value for the money. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. When checking in request a room away from the elevator these rooms are very noisey. Good safe parking for your car. Good selection of items for breakfast. 20 min from Manhatten by Path train. Easy daily commute when visiting New York. Would use this hotel again!

“Convenient location and price is right”

this hotel is a 5 min walk to Penn Station Newark and then a 22 min light rail train into NYC-$5 one way and worth it. The hotel is absolutely worth the rate of stay. The service if friendly and accomodating. The shuttle was at airport P4 to pick us up in minutes.. Our room was high standard - bed comfortable-clean-newly decorated. It is an old hotel so walls are thin but knowing that you can live with it. The breakfast which is included is worth $20...you can get whatever you want to eat and it includes all you could imagine and med to high quality. Again, service friendly!

“Impressed”

Must be one of the best spots to visit New York. I was almost surprised upon our arrival to see that the hotel was actually very nice, both from the outside or inside. Parking is free (outdoors). The room was cozy, daily maintenance was impeccable. Breakfast is OK, the room quickyl gets crowded though and it's hard to find aplace to sit. The hotel is very close (about 10 minutes walk) from the Newark Broad street train station, which goes directly to Penn Station in Manhattan. Highly recommended if, like us, you don't want to pay the big price for a Manhattan hotel!

“Trip to New York”

we went to new york for few days and were very satisfied with this hotel. it's near Penn Station in Newark so we were 20 minutes away from Manhatan by train or path. Really recommended for anyone, instead of staying in New York

“Good location to NYC”

Great cleanliness, very good location to the Penn station to get into NYC quickly and cheap.

“Wrong Airport for Free Shuttle”

The Hotel had a free shuttle to and from the Airport and train station. but it was the Newark Airport that they would pick up customers. Our package from Expedia took us to the La Guardia Airport and it cost almost $200.00 by taxi and bus to get to the Hotel and back to the Airport. Once at the Hotel it was less than 1/2 hour into New York by train. Breakfast was available every morning

“This Hotel is an awesome option in Newark!!”

For our first trip to NYC....we decided to stay in Newark. The fact that the hotel offered a contenential breakfast, free shuttle to the airport and free highspeed internet were all plus'. Penn Station is only a couple of blocks away and easy to walk to but the hotel does offer a free shuttle to Penn Station. I will say that walking at night was a little intimidating, so arranging a drive back from the hotel is a recommendation. In saying that, we were never ever bothered and anyone we've ever spoken to in Newark, were really really nice and helpful. The hotel offered the breakfast and the 2 ladies who work that, are quite the characters, they are very welcoming and it's not uncommon for them to break out in song. Overall...if I was ever to stay in Newark again, there's no doubt that I'd stay here....if I was ever going to NYC again....I'd stay in the city as I found that you had to leave relatively early ( 1am ) in order to catch the last train back to Newark. This hotel is very clean, staff are awesome and there's not one chamber maid that didn't say hi to us when we walked by them in the morning....it's quite impressive.

“Reasonable lodging away from New York city”

Good alternative to busy and pricy Manhattan. Free parking is great.
