“****+OnBudget”
I stayed at the Z hotel for 3 nights when I had an interview in NYC. The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel has a free shuttle that takes guests to/from the city, and the room was comfortable with a fantastic view! It was perfect and budget-sensitive. I would recommend the Z hotel to anyone!
“Chic Hotel - slight safety concerns - great value”
Priorities in a hotel for me are cleanliness with a generally new feel (typically 3.5 or 4 stars by most hotel ratings) but also at a relatively low price. Z NYC Hotel was all three. Constructed in July 2011, it certainly is new. The rooms, lobby and lounge were all very clean. The linens and towels were relatively new and in outstanding condition. My biggest issue with the hotel was concern for my safety when walking back to it from the subway late at night. It sits about 2 blocks off a bigger avenue. Those two blocks have mostly warehouse-type buildings which means that no one (and I mean no one) is around late at night (11pm) which can be a tad unsettling in a city as busy as NYC. Anyhow, to address this, the hotel wisely offers an hourly and very convenient shuttle to and from the subway stop at 59th and Lex. With no traffic it took less than 8 minutes (faster than the subway) and less than 15 minutes with moderate traffic. Taxis are the other obvious solution to this issue as they will drop you in front of the hotel. I'll add that I felt totally comfortable at 7am walking in the daylight to the subway. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel that I'd stay at again and recommend to friends, particularly if they can keep their rates as competitive as they were when I stayed.
“The ride, the atmosphere, the view.”
As promised, The Z sent a limo-like car with a big Z on its side to pick us up. Cute. It's not a long ride to hotel and was scenic at night. The hotel looks nice, feels nice, and gave us a great night's sleep with a fabulous view of Manhattan. Free breakfast was nice perk (danish, bagels and coffee). Nice job Z...would stay again!

“Tooke a chance-loved it!”
We're used to upscale Manhatten hotels and tired of the ridiculous prices, so started looking for options.Took a chance on this place and it turned out to be a little gem. The views are spectacular! None of the noise of staying in the city. We used the limo to go in and it was wonderful. It will be our first choice whenever we have to go to NYC!
“i would say stay at the Z”
I read a lot of reviews about this hotel before staying here and I do not understand the bad reviews about this hotel it was great. My 12 year old son loved it as well. very nice inside staff was nice as well. Plan to stay again soon.

“Magnificent View!”
Magnificent is the word for the view of the Manhatten skyline from our room. The rooftop bar was a fun place to see the view as well. Check-in was a breeze with polite and helpful staff. The room was just as described. Everything is new and clean-comfortable matress and pillows! We used the shuttle service to and from Manhatten on some days and the subway other days. It's just a few blocks away. The free breakfast was another great perk. We can also recommend brunch at Sage General Market a block from Court Square. We can highly recommend the Z !
