“would certainly use this hotel again”
clean, comfortable, could use tea/coffee making facilities quite a big room for new york. 3 blocks from times square everything on your doorstep . great
“Very Satisfied with our Stay”
This was the best hotel for the value we've stayed at in NYC. The rooms were clean and fairly large. Our room was overlooking 42nd St., so it was a little noisy, but we were so tired at the end of the day it didn't pose any problems for sleeping. The room was pretty warm, but we just opened the window a bit and were able to cool the room. I would definitely stay here again.
“Impressive and Comfortable Stay”
This hotel was brilliant! Less than a 5min walk to the subway and Times Square, this is a very convenient location. Circle Line Cruises are two blocks down the road which is definitely worth doing. The beds were made everyday (we were only there for 3) and towels replaced too. My only criticism would be the staff weren't very friendly and if your room is situated at the front of the hotel, it can be a little noisy at night. Never the less, the location and standard of the room made up for these minor problems.
“Would definately go back again.”
The hotel is located on 42nd Street in New York and is ideally located for a number of the highlights of the city. Grand Central Station, Empire State Building, Times Square and Broadway are within easy walking distance. Also we used the Greyline Bus company for excursions which is located on 8th Avenue which is just a couple of block walk away. What I liked was the choice of reasonable restraunts which where located close by restraunt row is very close by. Each morning we ate breakfast in the diner which is located next to the hotel which serves a good breakfast at reasonable rates (the locals use the diner as well). Also around the corner from the hotel is the Market Diner which serves excellent food till late the New York steak is recommended. Although ther are many places to go for a drink we settled for a night at Rudys Bar on 9 Avenue who serve the best free hot dogs in New York when you buy a beer. The hotel was kept very clean and also has a bit of a surprise in having an outdoor swimming pool. on the second floor. If you are driving it is one of the few hotels that provides free car parking in New York.
“Don't stay in the North Tower”
Hotel was superb value for location. Rooms in North Tower are on external balconies and a great deal smaller (even the elevator is smaller!). Rooms were exceptionally clean. Did have a problem with room keys having to be reprogrammed each day (?). Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Free parking was added bonus as was 12:00pm check out. Parking bays are very narrow and not the easiest to navigate, but on the whole great experience that I wouldn't hesitate to rebook.
“Great hotel at a very good price!!”
This hotel was fantastic. Less than 10min stroll from Times Square and very close to the subway too. The area felt safe to walk in, even in the early hours of the morning. The room was a good size and the bed extremely comfortable. Room service was done daily with clean bedding and towels!! The room also had a microwave and a fridge which was ideal. The bathroom again was cleaned daily and was a good size! My only gripe was the service at reception....not very helpful with information and was mis-led about buses back to the airport. Reception told us they do not run to Newark airport on a sunday and better getting a taxi which they would book for us. This untrue. But the girls in the gift shop were a great help. Overall a fantastic hotel in a fantastic loacation with a fantastic price.
“Great Value”
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. We couldn't have asked for more. Hotel is only a short walk to 8th Avenue Subway station, Times Square, Theatres. Great little deli right next door. The concierge service at the gift shop was very, very helpful!
“Great Hotel, you will love it”
The best kept secret in NYC. It is now my favorite hotel in NYC. I will stay there everytime I go. Very clean non-smoking property. Rooms look new. Price is hard to beat. Free parking, wireless internet in room for a small fee, lobby computer and printer to use for minimal charge, Quiet location, 2 queen beds, comfy corner chair, desk with chair, full bath with bathtub, pool(not heated), exercise room with bike, treadmill, stairclimber, and bar bells, big fridge, microwave, grocery store across the street to stock room. 2 blocks from subway A,C, E. 3 blocks from Times Square. Friendly staff. Great maid service. You will not regret staying here. Small comfortable lobby with leather couches. You could not ask for more and the price was fantastic.
“NYC hotel service”
I was surprised with the cheap fare of the hotel and the cleanliness and service in it. I will certainly stay at that hotel next time I visit NYC!
“Economy hotel w/ great location and price”
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is not a luxury facility by any stretch, but it was comfortable, affordable, clean, and in a good location... just 3 blocks from Times Square. Parking was free, which was another perk, and the staff members were friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
