For NYC - good room size and breakfast!

Posted 27-Jun-2015
Pros: Well maintained, good facilities, good breakfast.
Cons: Info in rooms re breakfast, facilities, what is nearby, etc. We were handed a map on arrival but some more info from staff would have been helpful.
Location: Located at the bottom of Manhattan in financial district, near One World Trade Centre, Battery Park and Brooklyn Bridge.
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and had no complaints. By NYC standards the room is a good size complete with fridge (very welcome!), large TV, air con (a must in the summer) and ironing board. The water pressure in the shower was good. The complimentary breakfast was much better than expected with hot waffles, a range of bagels, breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, etc. with a fair sized dining area (not allowed to take to your room). Tea/coffee and iced water was available all day to help yourself to. Staff were pleasant but reserved and not particularly chatty, although very accommodating. On arrival we found a problem with our room safe but the staff sent someone immediately to fix it and it was working 15 minutes later. Our room was at the back of the hotel and on a low floor and although there was some noise from the bars/restaurants below (chatting only, not loud music), patrons are required to move indoors by a certain time (11pm-ish?) so if you happened to be in the room at that time, the noise didn't last long and wasn't disturbing. The location is good for different subway stations (a must if you want to travel any distance from the bottom of Manhattan) so it's easy to get around. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Great location

Walking distance to subways, Battery Park, Wall Street, 911 memorial, and plenty more. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I only wish the continental breakfast had a larger selection, but otherwise had a wonderful trip without complaints

Staff was very nice, but out dated for the price.

Way too cold and smelly, yuck. Staff said they just wallpapered and didn't give enough time to air out.

Stylish, classy ambience

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: The convenient location, pleasant atmosphere, the lovely decor throughout the hotel, cleanliness. Most of all - quiet!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Within walking distance: the 9/11 Memorial Site, Staten Island Ferry, Wall St, Chinatown, Little Italy, Tribeca precincts and shopping at Century 21.
On our arrival, we were impressed with the 'vintage style' decor and the attention we received from the reception staff. Our room was tastefully and comfortably furnished and quite spacious. A continental breakfast was included and we found it quite adequate. The hotel location was perfect for our 2.5 day visit as it was within walking distance of the tourist sites in Lower Manhattan. A lovely place to relax after a long day of walking!

A true Inn in the heart of the financial district

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: We enjoyed the location, accessibility to subway lines, and felt like we were in a European inn. Oh, we appreciated the absence of a stocked minibar.
Cons: Perhaps a new mattress, but it wasn't bad, just not the best.
Location: The Inn is in an historic district of NYC, a short walk to the riverfront, Wall Street, City Hall, Stone Street pubs, the Freedom Tower, on and on.
As soon as we entered the lobby, we felt relaxed and welcome. Considering its location just south of Wall Street, it was quiet and quaint. Continental breakfast is served in the lovely breakfast room. Tea and coffee and goodies are available all day until 10. Our room was very clean and comfortable ... daily chocolates greeted us and attention to details that make its guest comfortable is outstanding. There are restaurants galore on Stone Street, right around the block, and easy Metro access. No minibar, which we appreciated, so we could use the frig for our own leftovers and drinks.

Wall Street Inn

Posted 5-May-2015
This is my 5th stay at the Wall Street Inn. Very nice room and employees. The beds are comfortable and clean. I like the fact that there is coffee available 24 hours a day. The breakfast is very nice too....Especially, the hard boiled eggs.
