Quaint hotel in historic area.

Being close to Wall St made it very quiet at night and weekends. Also very close to Battery Park and 9/11 Museumm.

Nice hotel, clean and friendly

Posted 2-Sep-2014
We arrived earlier than anticipated and to our surprise we were given our room. It was very clean, people very friendly, walking distance to downtown. I will go back to this hotel when I return to new york.

Wall Street Inn

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: comfortable room, friendly staff, offer taxi to airport, free copy of new York times, good breakfast from 7am - 10am,
Cons: Not sure about the ventilation vent in the room, was rather loud
Location: near 9/11 memorial, Brooklyn bridge, statue of liberty (battery park), close to wall street station on metro, about 15 minutes by subway to main city
Nice friendly staff, comfortable room, free wifi a bonus as you don't have to spend money using your own data usage, enjoyed the breakfast they offered, good location near 9/11 memorial and south seaport (near Brooklyn bridge), 5 minute walk to statue of liberty, and quite close to wall street station on metro. Rooms were serviced every day, and kept clean, I came to new York 1 day late, and they held my room, also really valued a late check in time as I got to airport late. tv had adequate channels though didn't watch much. cheaper to book taxi to airport via hotel (though it is cash only). map they gave was so handy in case you get lost!!

In financial district

Posted 6-Aug-2014
Pros: Good facilities, close to bars and restaurants
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities in the room, more breakfast options.
Close to ferries for Ellis Island, Liberty Island and Staten Island, also near World Trade Centre site but a fair distance from Times Square, Central Park and other tourists attractions. A busy street with restaurants and bars at the back of the hotel which was noisy at the weekend into the night.

Nice boutique hotel

Posted 1-Aug-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, room size, price, location
Cons: Continental breakfast options
I enjoyed the small intimate feel of the hotel. The amenities were very satisfactory, although the breakfast was weak. it was of little consequence as there are a number of food options surrounding the hotel.

Clean, large room, very quiet. Quaint with all mod cons. Fabulous bathroom and very comfy bed with luxury feel to covers. Nice variety for breakfast, plenty to eat.

Good value but could do with an update

Posted 25-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms need an update
Location: Staten Island Ferry Liberty and Ellis island ferry Wall Street and Financial District
We stayed here for 3 nights, Friday to Monday, in July. Wall Street is quiet during those day so we didn't get disturbed too much by the bars round the corner, apart from on Friday night. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Staten Island ferry The room was small, with a big bed taking up most of the room and a tiny bathroom. It was tired, with grouting in the bathroom starting to look worse for wear and the window blinds (of which there were about a million, ok 8, to open and close each day) were frayed. The bed was comfortable though and it was nice to have a corner room. Continental breakfast was complimentary which is a novelty in the US, and well received.

Rude and inflexible staff

I had a very bad and costly experience with this hotel. Got charged a hefty no show fee. Called hotel to explain my situation, reservation was a result of system error by Expedia but nevertheless hotel general manager was very eager to charge full amount of 1st night fee which, by the way it was the most expensive night of the three nights stay. There are many hotels in the area much better than this one and you will not risk to get tricked to pay a no show fee.
