Room Amenities
Rooms
Occupying the 28th through 42nd floors of the Waldorf=Astoria, this New York hotel offers extraordinarily spacious guestrooms, each with its own distinctive look. Suites with one, two, three, and four bedrooms and luxury guestrooms are all individually decorated in themes ranging from French Provincial to Old English with Asian accents.
Triple-sheeted beds are dressed with luxury Italian linens, duvets, and down pillows. Adornments include high ceilings, original crown moldings, chandeliers, jewel-toned velvets and silks, and polished woods. Marble bathrooms offer plush bathrobes, Penhaligon's of London toiletries, and brass or original nickel fixtures. High-speed Internet access (surcharge) and minibars are among the numerous conveniences.
Dining
Peacock Alley - Restaurant with separate bar/lounge. Power breakfast, lunch, small plates dinner, and Sunday brunch. Live piano music every night. (Closed during summer.)
The Bull and Bear - Steakhouse serving prime grade USDA Certified Angus Beef, the highest quality grade of beef available in the U.S. This clubby, classic steakhouse attracts an international set, including business travelers, hotel guests and devotees.
The Bar at Bull and Bear - Bronze statues of a bull and bear from the original 1893 Waldorf preside over the antique mahogany bar. An electronic NYSE/Nasdaq ticker tape fuels lively discussion between the "bulls and bears" sipping martinis and Manhattans. Dinner only.
Oscar's - This American brasserie is named after maitre d'hotel Oscar Tschirky, the inventor of the Waldorf Salad, Veal Oscar, and Eggs Benedict. Menu highlights include Waldorf Salad, Horseradish-Crusted Salmon, and Oscar's Chicken Pot Pie. Buffet breakfast every day and à la carte lunch on weekends.
Sir Harry's - This worldly lounge is reminiscent of the Explorers Club in the 1930s. Seating is at the elegant bar and around checkerboard tables. Classic martinis, wine by the glass, cognacs, and single-malt scotches are among the libations.
The Cocktail Terrace - Overlooking the majestic Art Deco lobby, the Cocktail Terrace is known for its sandwiches and scones with Devonshire cream. Cocktail Terrace is also home to Cole Porter's Steinway grand piano.

“wonderful experience”
Treated like queens and enjoyed ever minute of it. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Could not ask for better service. The food was great and Hotel was beautiful at Christmas.
“Will be the only place I will stay when visiting NYC”
Wonerful room and service.
“Excellent and roomy”
Great place to stay. Our suite was large and comfortable. Access to the main part of the hotel is simple. Inclusive continental breakfast was simple but good.
“Waldorf=Astoria--Always Superb”
I have stayed in the Waldorf=Astoria three times in the last few years, most recently in the summer of 2010; two of those visits were in the Waldorf Towers. I cannot say enough about the W=A. Always clean, comfortable, elegant...and the rooms are LARGE, especially for NYC. Yes, it can be pricey, but look at what you're getting for the money. Also, it's in a great mid-town location.
“PERFECT!! Highly recommended”
This is as good as its get! Location is perfect. Very glamorous. We had a slight problem with the bathroom lock in our room and we were upgraded to a Luxury 1 bedroom suite!! Everybody was wonderful
“excellent service”
After an initial problem with two of our three suites the waldorf astoria excelled themselves by upgrading us to some huge luxury suites and throwing in some bottles of wine how is that for customer service . All i can say is thank you very much and when i return to New York i will be staying at the waldorf.
“Great”
This was a girls weekend trip (mom and three daughters)and we had a great experience at the Waldorf Towers. We had a corner room with great views and the room was spacious. The location is close to everything we wanted to see. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful.
“old fashioned but well maintained”
the waldorf towers is an elegant hotel part of the Astoria but with its own indiviuality and charm - much more personal. Staff were very helpful - always smiling. The room was fine - maybe a little old fashioned - but plenty of space for the 3 of us - we even had a dressing room, lots of storage space - the air-con was a little noisy - but this was really the only complaint. We really enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf Towers. Great location too.
“'Can't wait to go back to the Towers”
This is a great hotel and excellent value for under 18s (as they are free). Service excellent despite previous reports to the contrary. Lounge for breakfast was great also. Only thing that the evening snacks had stopped. Oherwise a wonderful location and beautiful hotel
“Excellent experience, as always.”
Excellent hotel in an ideal NYC location. Found an amazing rate for a two bedroom suite on Expedia, and was astounded by the size of the room--likely bigger that=n the average apartment in town. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all, and will return here whenever visit the city for business or pleasure.
