“Great choice”
Our stay was very pleasant, upon arrival we were offered a mini suite instead of a superior double for a very reasonable extra price, which was very comfortable since it had two complete bathrooms. The room was in need of a little updating ( it looked just slightly tattered in some points but nothing serious) ; it was very well appointed and so were the bathrooms. If you can, remember to ask for a room away from elevators because they can be noisy. We would definitely stay there again, it' s a classic, and we loved it.
“Iconic NYC hotel”
We had an excellent 3 night break at the Waldorf and would recommend it unreservedly. Superb service, large room (especially for NYC) and good location This iconic hotel lived up to its reputation
“Excellent and would stay again”
This hotel is fantastic and one of those places you have to stay at once. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and large with a separate lounge and bedroom and 2 bathrooms! The Peacock Alley bar was lovely to have drinks after a long day and the lobby was great to just watch people go by. Would definately recommend staying here.
“Great stay!”
Lovely room, hotel personnel very friendly and helpful, great location!
“Very happy with our stay”
Arrived at midnight, so only one person on reception but she was very friendly. We were given a complimentary upgrade from a double to a suite. The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. Rooms were well cleaned each day. One gripe was that there was no free wifi.
“Fabulous, luxurious and full of history”
We booked at the Waldorf Astoria as part of special birthday celebrations. We were certainly not disappointed, as our room was upgraded to one with a balcony, what a fabulous view from the 38th floor!. Rooms with balonies are limited, so we were very lucky. The room was beautiful and very spacious. All the staff were extremely helpful, especially the staff in Peacock Alley who were very friendly and gave us lots of useful information about the hotel, the local area and New York generally.
“Beautiful landmark”
Very clean and pleasant staff. Hotel is a truely beautiful landmark.
“A Romantic Stay”
Great position. We were able to access the museums, galleries and theatre district easily. Wonderful week to go as it was restaurant week and they were running specials, the theatre were offering 2 for 1 tickets on Broadway and the Waldorf was very reasonably priced - so we took advantage of it all and had a wonderful time. The old time atmosphere of the Waldorf was an extra bonus. It made it a special time in NYC. Plan to do exactly the same next year.
“With Thanks for the upgrade”
When we arrived we put in a room that overlooked the airconditioning units. The usual hotel game of get rid of the bad rooms first. When I called the reception they told us they could move us but it might not be till the next day. Then ten minutes later we had been upgraded to a junior suite which was absolutely amazing. The result was a very happy wife, a great silver wedding anniversary and a very grateful husband. Thank you the Waldorf Astoria One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
“Wonderful at the Waldorf”
The entire staff was the most courteous and delightful people. From the very beginning at check in we were amazed at the friendliness and courtesy of everyone. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable.
