“Beauty, elegance and convinience”
Is the greatest historic hotel in midtown Manhattan. From the lobby entrance to the famous clock, everything is beautiful and elegant. The rooms, the service, the food, the ambiance... all the good taste and small details of a luxurius, majestic hotel. This is our third stay here and will definatelly return.
“Christmas in New York”
If you are looking for a bright and modern hotel this is not the place to choose - however if you are looking for an older style comfortable hotel then the Waldorf fits the bill. It is excellently located with easy walking access to all the attractions (Broadway, Times Square, Central Park and shops on Madison & 5th Avenue (and much more). There is a metro station conveniently located near the back of the hotel in Lexington Avenue, and a 7-day metro card is very good value for money. It is very expensive to eat in the hotel but there are numerous cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Taxi from JFK airport is best option and allow an hour for the journey. Overall a great experience.
“BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED”
The Waldorf is the pinnacle of elegance and FRIENDLY service. From the reception staff to the doorman to the housekeeping staff, every one was friendly and helpful.
“A real Icon. The 'Old Lady ' impressed.”
The Waldorf was everything we expected it to be. It did not dissappoint in any way. Perfect location for exploring all major attractions. Room very well equipped and all staff very accomodating and professional in their approach to dealing with customer requests. Used the concierge for advice on all aspects of dining/attractions and travel and found the advice accurate and extremely useful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Will use Waldorf everytime in New York if price is right”
Everything was more than expected. We will definetely go back
“A fantastic experience”
From the outside it's not a very pretty building, but enter the rotating doors and the view that greets you is stunning. The staff at reception are very polite and there's always someone around to help. The room was to the standard you'd expect for a hotel this kind and the bathroom was also beautifully finished with a fantastic shower - complimentary quality bathrobes are a nice touch. Room service for breakfast was excellent, but a little expensive. My only dissapointment was the lack of wireless connectivity in the room. For online security reasons it's only available in the foyer. Overall a fantastic experience. My only dissapointment
“ill go back soon”
What can anyone say about New York the trip was fantastic - booked a show which was also great
“junior suite excellent ~2 bathrooms”
Excellent Hotel! Large rooms, seperate living room, 2 bathrooms and large bedroom with 2 doubles. No tea/coffee in rooms! very clean. Would use again especially through Expedia it was the best value. Car service top marks ~ srtetch limo turned up better value than yellow cab as 6 of us.Pick up ws 5.30 busy time to get a cab...In the snow and rush hour it took 2 hours to reach JFK! Luggage hold staff could smile!
“Worth every penny!”
Great hotel, great service, great room! The staff at the Waldorf will go out of their way to make your stay the most enjoyable possible. I definitely recommend it. Try the grasshopper martini at the Peacock Alley!
“Can't wait to go back”
Can't fault the hotel staff for service, they couldn't do enough for you. Very comfortable beds, which are needed after a day on your feet. Hotel very central for all amenities. Only negative comment would be that the room didn't have coffee/tea making facilities.
