“Petit pied à terre idéal à NYC”
Hôtel idéalement situé près de Times Square et Bryant Park. Jolie Chambre avec vue sur l'Empire State Building. Petit déjeuner sympathique dans une très agréable salle. Personnel très chaleureux.
“The Strand and New York go hand in hand.”
We went on a four day trip to see New York City. We read many reviews on various hotels and we decided on the Strand. This is a newer hotel and was in a good location so we could walk to most of the attractions. The hotel was fantastic. The room was large, sofa and chair, large 42" tv, huge walk in shower, safe and turn down service. The room was clean and kept clean during our stay. The free continental breakfast was very good. It included the New York Times or USA today, There were bagels, fresh fruit, cold meats, bread, cereals, skim milk, coffee, tea, juice and fresh yogurt cups with fresh berries. This was a great added feature and a great way to start the day. The hotel was in a good location, near Macey's and a short walk to times square and other attractions. The New York trip was a great trip and the Strand really made it all that much better. Great Hotel.
“Great Hotel!”
It was a great hotel. Everything we requested we received. It was really nice, clean and the food was good. Would definitely stay there again!!
“Deffinatly stay again”
New hotel, close to everything, hotel staff was excellent, very friendly, helpful, food at the hotel was excellent, rooms a bit small, but I understand that is normal for Manhattan
“Superb hotel in superb location!”
We stayed 4 nights in this great hotel. Situated between 5th and 6th Avenue, and an easy 10 minute walk to Times Square, but in a quiet street so no disturbed nights. The staff were so helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. The free breakfast was just right for us - we especially loved that granola and dried fruit! Visited the roof top bar on a clear evening - with the roof retracted and a fantastic view of the Empire State Building - drinks were expensive but the view made it worth it! Our bedroom (on the 15th floor) had no view, other than the backs of buildings, but was quiet, the bed was massive and so comfortable - beautiful soft linen. Bathroom cosy and could have done with some more storage, but great shower and very clean. We were able to check-in for our flight and print off our boarding passes at no extra cost in their business centre. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Just can't wait to come back!
“Unreserved recommendation.”
We would recommend The Strand unreservedly. Being only fourteen months old all the décor & furnishings are pristine. We opted to have the slightly larger room than the standard. The room was warm, the bed was really comfortable & the linen beautifully fresh & changed regularly. Everywhere was spotless. Ask for a room with a view of the Empire State building, it is wonderful to look out onto it. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice, all of which was constantly replenished. I asked for some hot milk on the first morning & thereafter was supplied with some without having to ask. The staff were all friendly & helpful. I needed to see a doctor & they sorted it all out for me & in the following days would ask how I was. Our flight home was cancelled on the 26th December due to the blizzard & once again the staff calmly & efficiently extended our stay & did what they could to help us rearrange our flights. The hotel is in a quiet street but ideally placed, being only a few minuets walk from the main attractions & subway.
“hotel strand new york”
excellent hotel bien situé avec de très prestations
“The perfect stay for a NYC trip”
The Strand is perfectly located for a NYC trip (a few minutes to Times Square or to the Madison Square Garden). Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and the breakfast is also excellent. The rooms could be a little bit larger, but compared to other NY hotels it is large enough. The most important, it is very clean and you have all comfort you need. Free WiFi in the whole hotel (including rooms) is an additional argument to stay at The Strand. Summarized I can only recommend The Strand Hotel and at my next NYC trip I will certainly stay again at The Strand.
“Very Impressive Hotel”
What a wonderful surprize! This hotel is excellent. The staff was beyond exceptional. They are very attentive and friendly. The hotel is great and the rooms are more than expected. I will return to the Strand on my next trip and I highly recommend the Strand to any traveler to New York. I would rate the hotel as 6 stars if possible.
“Ideal for short breaks”
I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband & two children aged 11 & 12. We stayed 4 nights. We were really pleased with the hotel overall. I had asked specifically for a high level room facing the Empire State Building & we were not disappointed :o) The location was excellent, with many of the sites within walking distance. A 10 minute walk to the Times Square area with all the theatres & restaurant's close to hand. The hotel itself is of a contemporary design & our room was modern, clean & comfortable. Not the biggest room for 4, but ample for our needs for just a short break. Beds were really comfortable. Also, very happy to see that we had an iron, hair dryer, robes, slippers. Bathroom was well designed, nice big shower & plenty of clean towels & toiletries. The roof terrace bar is worth a visit at night so that you can enjoy the view of the Empire State Building whilst enjoying a 'Manhattan'. Although at $40 for 2, not cheap! The complimentary breakfast was very good with lots of choice. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel & would definitely consider going back there the next time I go to NYC. I liked that it was quite small & personal & that it was in a quiet location (for NY that is). The staff were very courteous & helpful & we were made to feel very welcome.
