Property Amenities
Opened in autumn 2010, this high-rise hotel is on Fifth Avenue, between 36th and 37th streets. The Empire State Building is about two blocks south. Designer shops and Broadway theaters are also within easy reach. The Setai Fifth Avenue is entirely nonsmoking.
Named after the constellation in the northern sky, the full-service Auriga spa features 11 treatment rooms, a small plunge pool, experiential showers, a steam room, and a hamam. Signature treatments are inspired by the phases of the moon.
The signature Ai Fiori restaurant, helmed by celebrated chef Michael White, showcases the foods of the Italian Mediterranean coast. The Bar on 5th features a central fireplace and views of Fifth Avenue.
A state-of-the art fitness center is open 24 hours a day. The Setai Fifth Avenue also offers the services of personal assistants, a 24-hour business center, complimentary wired and wireless Internet access, a meeting/conference room, and a multilingual staff.

The Setai Fifth Avenue offers a choice of guestrooms, studio suites, and apartment suites, all with city views. Duxiana beds are layered with Italian Pratesi linens and down duvets. LCD TVs include premium and international channels. Wireless Internet high-speed access is complimentary. Accommodations also offer iPod docks, espresso makers, refreshment centers, custom closets, bathrobes, slippers, and in-room safes.
Most bathrooms include glass-enclosed rain showers and separate soaking tubs. Some have showers only. LCD TVs are integrated into bathroom mirrors. Bathroom amenities are by Lorenzo Villoresi Firenze for Botega. The hotel provides evening turndown service.

“Brilliant extra touches made their service exclusive”
The hotel was excellent.
“#1 in NYC and deserves to be #1+++; Magnificent suite”
After checking in, the bellman escorted me to my suite and showed me the complimentary soft drinks, water and beer in the fridge, an espresso maker and crystal glasses. When I returned to my room in the early evening, the complimentary hotel pressing of my business suit took only 1 hr and the shoeshine less time. There were floor to ceiling windows that open the entire length of this long suite with windows on the side and in the bathroom. I enjoyed the cross ventilation. The bathroom is large with nice amenities. The closet has a large amount of space for hanging an drawers and laying out things making it easy and elegant to dress. The technology in the room is high quality and up to date. Room service: The quality of the food and service is superb being on time or early with the food fresh and correct to the order. When I forgot to ask that no mayo be on my crab, the room service server did not get angry or defensive. Instead, the hotel has him equipped with a microphone attached to his collar into which he immediately spoke and asked if the kitchen could prepare the crab without mayonnaise. The answer was yes. I had the plain crab back in my room in less than five minutes! Unbelievable attention to detail in the training of the staff. Whoever picked this staff and then trained them should be given a raise. This area of Fifth is quieter at night and early morning than the 55th to Time Warner area.

Best Hotel i've ever stayed in NEW YORK, brand new hotel, very spacious rooms, great bathrooms. Staff was great, very friendly, they even gave us a ride to SOHO in an Aston Martin for free.

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful, the room was excellent, and the location perfect. The only issue we had was a major leak in our room on the first day (newly built hotel), but by the time we had come back in the evening we had been upgraded and all our stuff relocated for us. Result!
“Fabulous hotel with impeccable service!”
I cannot say enopugh about this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The highlight of our trip was the spa. Talk about luxury! We loved the co-ed whirlpool, steam and showers. The spa treatments were outstanding. Great fitness center. too. An absolute must for a trip to mid-town (or any part of) Manhattan! Lovely bar area and the restaurant was a bonus. Going back in 3 weeks and counting the days.

Great hotel, unbelievable service. Rooms in great shape and always clean.Complementary soft drinks and coffee in the room is a great touch. Well isolated from the street noise, and as well impeccable fitness area. Location close to many attractions. Overall best hotel we have ever stayed, and we travel as a family quite a bit. Recommend highly.

We had a great stay at The Setai. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The hotel is without doubt one of the best we have stayed in. The only down side was that when at check in we were asked for a credit card as authorisation during our stay we didn't realise that money, ($1270), would be debited immediately and then returned later. I gave a prepaid currency master card only to find that I then couldn't use it anywhere else as most of the money had been debited by the hotel! The hotel should clarify this when checking in.
