“Great location”
My husband and I went on a short holiday to New York in July and chose this hotel based on other reviews. The hotel location is wonderful and close to most things you'd want to see in New York. The lobby is really fancy and the rooms could use some updating but the room was clean, comfortable and the bed linens/pillows etc. were really nice. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. We would stay there again!
“The Roosevelt NYC”
Centrally located with numerous entrances so if you're approaching from east or west side you don't have to walk around the block to find a door...walking distance to everything...concierges were very friendly & knowledgable... beautiful lobby area (there was a wedding reception going on and it added to the ambience...room was lovely, not huge but why do you need a huge room? You're in NYC - get out & walk around! Discounts were found on every site for this hotel but not available calling the hotel directly so book via Expedia - they had the best deal.
“Best location in New York”
The Roosevelt is a short walk from Grand Central with easy subway access to everything. The bathrooms were a little tight with only a tiny shelf for counter space. However there was a wonderful shower with lots of hot water.
“Very impressed”
We really couldn't fault this hotel, it was great. The location was perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel lobby was really spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.
“Great Hotel, Fantastic Location”
This was the second time my husband and I had stayed at The Roosevelt Hotel and we were very pleased we did. Ours was a queen room, and while on the small side, spotlessly clean and full of all modern comforts. Fantastic location and friendly staff (couldn't do more for us, even on the fully booked weekend of the Independence Day celebrations). The view from rm 1802 was an added bonus. When we return to NYC for another trip we will be more than happy to stay at The Roosevelt Hotel again.
“Fantastic Hotel, fantastic location!”
This was the first time I have stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel, but I would definitively recommend it. The decor in the reception is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We did have a problem on the first night with the water in the shower being extremely hot, but we mentioned it at the reception and it was fixed the next day. The bar in the reception area was really nice but the rooftop bar, Mad 46 is a must. The views are amazing! We didn't eat in the hotel, as the prices seemed a bit expensive and we found a wonderful deli only a block away on Fifth Avenue for breakfast. The hotel location is also a plus, you are only a block away from Fifth Avenue and a short walk away from either the Empire State building or Central Park. Grand Central Station is right next door. Great Hotel!
“Would recommend to anyone”
Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Would recommend to anyone.
“Great Place”
Would stay there again
“Can't wait to go back. As a matter of fact, I did.”
Great! I loved it and highly recommend it to one and all.The staff is great, too.
“Great location”
Excellent hotel close to all main atractions. Staff helpful, though we did not spend a lot of time there. Would reccomend a visit to the roof top bar for cocktails as a starter for a night out. Rooms as shown on the internet comfy and very clean though moderate space wise.
