“Great hotel and great price!”

We were beyond satisfied with this hotel. Excellent staff and service. 24 hour diner in hotel has great food & super convenient. Based on our NYC tasks, location was awesome, especially with subway right outside the door! Will most definitely return ASAP!

“Highly recommended”

First time to NYC - easy subway from train station to penn station, which was basically kitty-corner to hotel. Beautiful art-deco hotel, newly reno'd. Helpful, polite staff, room tiny but we were there to sleep, not host room parties. Central location perfect for all things we saw-wouldn't have seen as much from somewhere else. Spotlessly clean rooms, especially the bathroom every day! Room on 20th floor=very little noise; slept like a rock. The bed was firmer than I prefer, but that's just me. 24-hr diner connected to hotel through lobby - perfect, with a small Express breakfast bar beside entrance (grab a muffin and coffee and go). Free USA today at desk every a.m., maps, guides, concierge, truthful advice (ex.take a cab to airport, not shuttle, about same cost but much less time). Cool history - plaque re: Nikola Tesla on side of hotel, lots of celebs lived there, maybe many still do, international students at NYC colleges live there (some rooms below 18th floor). Definitely check it out if you like art deco, but not if you're claustrophobic!

“Great location, Great hotel”

My wife and I went to NYC to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Did a lot of research on locations and figured this would be a good place to center us around the attractions we wanted to see. We were not disappointed. The hotel was great. Cleanliness and friendly staff helped enjoy stay. When asked if a free upgrade was available the manager gave us a better view, a larger room and a fridge and coffee maker (was not already included when booked). Would definitely stay here again. It was a little expensive, but when you are located right downtown New York City what can you expect. Thanks New Yorker!

“Great hotel!”

My friend and I went to NYC for her 40th birthday. The New Yorker Hotel was excellently located...not too close to the commotion of Times Square...but not so far that you couldn't walk and explore NYC along the way there. The subway, Starbucks, Madison Square Garden and a really nice diner downstairs were all easily accesible withing 2 minutes of the hotel. I would definately consider this hotel again if ever going to NYC.

“Great deal, great location, great service and great diner”

I was very pleasently surprised that the Ramada New Yorker was so awesome! The hotel has been beautifully restored, and has a great deal of charm. I thought it was really cool that the 1st 20 floors are student apartments, so there were always people coming and going, and the place had a real energy and presence. Also, the location is amazing. 2 blocks from Macy's! The service was also great, the service desk can check you into your flight the night before. The Tick Tock diner is also a gem and very handy to have a 24 hour coffee stand. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone on any budget. I have stayed at the Iroquois and the Vanderbilt YMCA and this hotel was the perfect balance of charm and affordability. Ps, I would recommend the Iroquois if you can afford it, but the dumpy YMCA is NOT worth it (sharing one bathroom with your whole floor?) and The Ramada is priced comparatively with the Y!

“Perfect Location”

I went to see a concert (My Morning Jacket) at Madison Square Garden. The venue was just up the block. The room was small but tidy. A friend and I shared the King size bed and it was quite comfortable. There was always an elevator waiting in the lobby. The staff is very pleasant. Everything is within walking distance. Very good location. I would stay here again.

“Awesome!”

The New Yorker is perfectly situated for Madison Square Garden and Times Square access. Great neighbourhood, great hotel. Subway is right there, awesome. Hotel staff very friendly and security is great. The only downside was that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, but no biggie. Great room, very comfortable beds otherwise. All good.

“Why go anywhere else?”

Location, location, location! This hotel is central to everything. Between Chelsea and Midtown, you can walk (and you will walk!) to anywhere: High line, theatre district, Times Square, Greenwich Village, Madison Square Gardens (across the street)...ANd if not, there are subways on every corner right where you are. Yes, the rooms are small. If you're in your room, what are you doing in NYC? Staff is great, check-in a breeze, wifi in the room is free, water pressure and temperature were perfect and from where we were, we heard nothing from any other room or hardly even from the street below. I will definitely return to this hotel every time I return to NYC.

“Excellent location.”

Loved the location - room was small but definitely adequate. Very clean, staff were helpful - couldn't ask for anything more.
