“Good Find!”
We were really pleased with the Millburn, we had booked it following reading reviews here! nice and quiet. ideally located for central park. Subway just round the corner too. room fine with lovely comfy bed, which after 'full on' days was great! towels changed daily and toiletries refreshed. Hot water too. Brilliant having fridge and coffee maker/microwave. Breakfast in hotel was brilliant too, far better than others I've experienced. Yes, breakfast rook isnt the biggest but if its full you can take your breakfast back to your room. Cereals, bagels, croissants, cake, friut, juices, coffee etc etc. excellent value. Would stay again. Air con was quite noisy and could have been a bit cooler but think that was just our room, and it was very hot! would recommend.
“Clean, Quiet, and comfortable--can't ask for more!”
The Milburn is a great small hotel in a mid-price range. It is in a fabulous location--Upper West Side with plenty of everything within walking distance. The rooms are all decent sized with small "kitchenettes" that make it possible to keep food on hand for snacks, lunches, etc. and save yourself some money. The subway is about three blocks in either direction on Broadway, which makes travel very easy. In addition, the fact that you are right off Broadway at 76th makes getting a cab very easy if that is your choice. My husband and I were at the Milburn during the recent Christmas blizzard. The staff could not have been more accommodating-both to those of us there who were concerned about having a place to stay if we could not get out of NY and to those who were calling non-stop to cancel reservations. All the anxiety was taken out of the situation. Our daughter lives in the neighborhood, so it is great to know that such a dependable and comfortable option is open to us. We will be back soon.
“Good Value in Upper West Side”
Whenever we can get a reservation, we stay at the Milburn. We have been coming to NYC several times a year to attend the Metropolitan Opera performances for several years. The Milburn is very conveniently located to Lincoln Center and there are a number of extremely fine restaurants within a short walking distance. The rooms (we usually reserve a one bedroom suite) are clean and well-appointed. We have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. We consider the Milburn as good value and recommend it highly.
“Excellent value for money.”
The hotel was conveniently situated for the subway and it wasn't too difficult to reach Central Park and Broadway on foot. A short walk away was Big Nick's pizza and burger bar - well worth a visit. Amsterdam Avenue has a variety of eating places and bars and is a short walk away. The hotel was comfortable, the room bigger than expected and the fridge was a godsend in the July heat. Only downside is room 1109 has not got the advertised safe.
“Always Like the Milburn”
I stay at the Milburn frequently. Love the Upper West Side Location and especially like the kitchen facilities at the Milburn. For the price, you cannot beat the Milburn.
“Clean, quiet and a great location!”
It's a great location and the hotel is quiet!
“Great place to stay”
I stayed at the Milburn for a weekend, during a private extension of a business trip to elsewhere in the US. Clean and comfortable room (a suite even which I hadn't specifically booked), larger than I expected being used to London hotel room sizes. Plenty of storage space, two TVs and a kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Very handy for subway 1/2/3, just a few stops from Penn Station and Times Square. At the corner of Broadway, so plenty of local shops in the vicinity including a large Whole Foods store to stock that kitchenette.
“Would definitely return.”
Very enjoyable place to stay. A small breakfast in the morning is a plus to get things started.
“Great NYC hotel”
Wonderful location, close to subway and great food shops to stock your in-room mini-fridge. Good continental breakfast, too!
“Good location, absolutely recommended”
The hotel is old, but well maintained. It is in a quiet location, in a good neighbourhood, and close to the main NYC focal points, and the subway. It is highly recommended for tourists.
