“Our Best Ever Stay in New York”
This hotel seemed expensive (though maybe not by New York standards), but I think it was actually very good value, and definitely our best hotel experience in NY. The breakfast was simple (continental) but good. Best of all, coffee, danish and muffins are available around the clock, plus there is free wine and cheese every evening. The location is excellent, close to Bryant Park (our favourite spot in NY) and to Grand Central Station. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, and as book-lovers, we loved the library ambience - books in every room, and the 100 best films on DVD to borrow and play in your room. The one disappointment was that one night we wanted a nightcap and the 14th floor bar was closed at 10.30. A great hotel. We have already recommended it to others and will definitely go back there.
“Great boutique hotel in NYC”
A great hotel and excellent location being 1 block from Grand Central and 3 blocks from Times Square. Very helpful staff, pleaant and quiet breakfast / reading area and brilliant (but busy) top floor cocktail bar and roof terrace. We did opt for an exec room for more space - very comfortable. No hesitation in staying again - even if it was fairly expensive.
“A Haven.”
We loved staying at the Library Hotel. It was great to return from a busy day sightseeing to unwind with complimentary pastries and coffee and to listen to classical music in the background. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room and bathroom were well equipped. The bed and the bedlinen were extremely comfortable. The bed linen was changed each day which was a real treat. Do take some CDs for the player in the room. I would definitely stay there again.
“Excellent New York Hotel”
Very pleased with this hotel. Not hugely expensive by NY standards, but was very nice, especially the free muffins and tea and coffee available throughout the day, plus cheese and wine from 5-8. excellent.
“Good boutique hotel”
The hotel was everything one could expect from their website. Very friendly. Very good service. Nice touch the fact there is always coffee and biscuits available , cheese and wine in the afternoon, for free. The bar on the top floor was good fun.
“location location location”
comfortable, friendly and intimate hotel. great location from which to explore manhattan on foot or mta. highly recommend.
“Fabulous Location cant wait to go back”
The Manhatten Express Bus which links you to all the airports drops you off round the corner from the hotel in Perishing square so not far to carry your bags. Location by Grand Central Station is excellent for seeing all the sights. Hotel staff were discreate but extremely helpfull and courtious if you needed them. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms were quiet and very clean, docking station for your IPod and if you don't have one there is a radio. The rooftop bar was lovelly on a warm sunny evening. Breakfast was help yourself with lots of choice (cold food only) in a very relaxed informal dinning room with daily papers. When they turned the beds down they not only left you chocolates but the next days weather forcast as well which was a nice touch. We would go again and would recommend to our friends
“Convenient, clean & friendly”
The location of this hotel can't be beat. It's right around the corner from Grand Central and walking distance to 5th Avenue, Bryant Park etc. the rooms are a decent size for NYC and the bathroom was roomy as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour were nice touches as well. I would definitely stay here again.
“Nice Little Hotel”
Great location. One of the better hotel and restaurant combos I've found in boutique hotels. Definitely will stay again.
