“Highly recommended”
This is a lovely hotel situated within walking distance of Times Square, The Empire State Building, Central Park and Central Station etc. We were in a room on the 11th floor that overlooked the Empire State Building. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Our only minor issue was the small travel size hairdyer which kept cutting out. Overall, I would highly this hotel to both couples and families alike.
“Nice, quiet, and accomodating.”
We went into the city for the weekend and stayed at the Kitano. Very polite and accommodating staff. We found out there was a cover for the hotel bar since it was a jazz lounge and we arrived just as the act was starting up. Normally this would not have been an issue, rather a plus, but we had already booked plans and simply wanted a drink before heading out. Also there was an issue with the heating in the room, even with the thermostat as low as possible, it was fairly warm within the room. We spoke to the front desk but the issue was unable to be resolved before we returned for the night. In the end we simply kept the window open and were fine; but, I could see how this might be an issue for some. Though, in the end, our experience at the Kitano was quite pleasant and we would definitely stay here again.
“Quiet comfort in Murray Hill”
The Kitano may not be the hippest or the fanciest hotel in town, but it delivers on what's really important to me - clean comfortable rooms, attentive staff, comprehensive amenities, a great location and consistently good service.
“My kitano experience”
Have been going to new york for last 8 years and have stayed in several hotels over this time, the last four years we have chosen to stay in the grand hyatt.however decided to try the kitano this year. It has a great location and provides a Tranquil oasis set in the heart of all the hustle and bustle that is new York. We found the Staff helpful and friendly, always took time to acknowledge you when entering and exiting room and hotel and passing through reception. A much more personal service than some of our previous hotels. And we are already planning to book again for next year.
“Excellent & conveniently located hotel in Midtown”
I was very impressed by Kitano. I passed by the hotel once before and decided to try it out next time in New York. The rooms are top-notch; the one we had was not massive, but the room was extremely clean and very well-appointed. The view was pretty good as well; we were afforded a view of the Chrysler Building. The staff was friendly and super-professional. The location is also very good; though the immediate area is very quiet outside of normal business hours, Grand Central and Times Square are within walking distance, and subways are just a few blocks away. All-around, Kitano is a very classy, and is certainly my #1 choice for accomodations in New York.
“Quite satisfied... good property.... good location”
We travel to NYC several times a year and now believe we have found a "new home" for all of our visits. The Kitano is a quality hotel in a good, relatively quiet area of Manhattan. The rooms are spacious by NYC standards and are clean and bright. The staff is very helpful and always courteous. We like it!
“Quiet, comfortable hotel in great location”
Quiet, comfortable hotel in great location
“peace and quiet in the middle of manhattan”
wonderful hotel, very central location, very peaceful atmosphere inside the hotel, which was very welcome after the hustle and bustle of new york
“Excellent Hotel”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Kitano. I appreciated their attention to detail from the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to the room's accessories and the bed turndown at night. I had just a standard room but it was quite spacious("very" spacious by New York's standards), quiet and clean. The hotel was also very convenient to my meeting location and in a good neighborhood. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe.
“Quiet and Cozy!”
Everything from check-into to check-out was wonderful! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with all our needs. Great room, very clean place to stay. bathrooms had adequete space and water pressure was fabulous (common problem in NYC).
