“Great overnight stay in the heart of midtown.”
Small hotel, but great amenities/location for business travelers.
“Will definitely stay there again.”
We stayed at Jewel three days after it opened and they were working out some of the glitches but we had a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very nice and big (by mid-town Manhattan standards) and you truly cannot beat the location. The hotel has a partnership with a Club Quarters hotel next door providing access to a restaurant and room service. It also has "swing space" or a living room in the hotel to stretch out and for a change of scenery (great for business travelers working in a group who don't like to work in each other's room) We stayed there with kids and had a very positive experience.
“Real Jewell”
Great location. Comfortable rooms. Not spacious, but enough for you to hang your hat and put up your feet between touring and/ or meetings. Super location off 5th Avenue near Rockefeller Ctr. Arrangement with Terrace Restaurant two doors down ( drinks and dining 7 floors up, outside covered by a canopy) was also a pleasant surprise.
“I will be coming back to this contemporary and CLEAN spot.”
Perfect location for where I needed to be which was NBC store in Rockefeller. Only 3 months old and everything was CLEAN which made my stay this time in NYC comforting as opposed to other hotels I've stayed for the cheaper price I try to stay for. Not to small not to big but some may think the room is small but it was just right for the price. I MOS DEF will be coming back,
“Cheap, Clean convenient, functional”
The stay was fine. Clean room, None of NY infamous bed fellows. The room was very functional, if not a bit busy . Internet access was quick as well as free. Would recommed to my colleagues and stay again.
“Book the Jewel...it's a real gem!”
Reception area small but staff helpful and provided excellent customer service. Our room was on the 9th floor facing Rockefeller Center. The room was neat, clean and comfortable providing most of the ammenities. Room size was more than expected for such a supurb location including a good size bathroom. A small fitness center is offered as well as is free bottled water. Free Wi Fi is also throughout. The hotel is situated perfectly and we were able to get to most reaches of the city on foot. I have already recommended the Jewel to friends of mine who travel frequently to New York and will eagerly book the Jewel on my next visit as well. Book it....you won't be disappointed.
“Highly recommended”
Would highly recommend this hotel - it's found in an ideal location to easily reach all of the key sight-seeing areas of the city. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely go back.
“Great location”
I would definitely stay here again. The location was great, over looking Rockefeller Center. It seems that the hotel has recently been remodeled. The rooms are fairly small but well equipped. Free wifi, access to the Terrace Club a bar/ restaurant next door with a 20% discount when you charge your room. Great happy hour with 5 dollar drinks, very cheap for NYC.
“Beautiful and very modern European style”
Beautiful, fresh, modern, style, great location. you cant go wrong with this place. I love it.
“WOW! Uber modern, centrally located SECRET!”
Location is the key in NYC because you end up walking to everything, cabs, subways, restaurants, events,, and venues. The Jewel is centrally located to so many venues, restaurants, and subway stations. The hotel has a very professional, knowledgeable & very helpfull staff. Our regular workout schedule was enhanced by the full mini gym, with everything from free weights to elipticals and medicine balls, and they even threw in a washing machine and dryer so guests can do some laundry if needed. We had a great time and we were never worried about the neighborhood. I would recomend this hotel to anyone from first time visiters to the corporate traveler that stays for a week or more. The little things make a hotel comfortable, from good linens to coffee in the room and wifi and Ipod docking stations. Not to mention free chilled purified bottled water stations on every floor. On top of all that the second floor living room is furnished with a large flat screen TV and computer workstations complete with printers, and every NY newspaper you could possibly need to plan your day or just keep up with the world. We LOVED our stay at the Jewel and when we come back to NYC we will book there FIRST.
