“Book it!”
Great hotel, reasonable prices, very clean & modern.
“Most accommodating and friendly.”
The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly, while maintaining absolute professionalism We were treated like individuals, not like we were just passing through. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. Great bed!
“Great contemporary luxury in a non touristy neighborhood.”
Personal attention service
“Loved The Alex”
Just came back from a weekend in NYC. It was my first stay at The Alex and it certainly won't be the last. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful, the room was extremely clean and very tasteful. We have decided that we have found our hotel of choice for all future trips to NYC.
“Good Location”
Our stay at the hotel was great. We wanted a place that was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The Alex delivered all of that. The staff upgraded our room to a suite which had separate enclosed bedroom and living areas which was amazing. Would recommend to friends.
“Great family hotel”
We stayed in the two-bedroom suite with two teenagers. Staff was attentive and helpful, great location. There were many restaurants within walking distance, and we were close enough to many attractions to walk (even with our 13-year-old with Down syndrome). Coffeemaker was no charge, just ask for one. Open the windows if you get warm - remember you're in a very tall building, and heat rises! Would stay here again.
“modern boutique hotel in great location”
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Alex and we liked it even more this time. The lobby and rooms have a beautiful modern aesthetic. The bathrooms are small but incredibly well appointed including a flat screen tv. Staff is friendly, but we were annoyed that doorman took our bags as we entered then carried them 50 feet to check-in desk looking for tip while a second staff member lead us to our room taking our baggage again...felt like obvious "double dipping".
“Wonderful hotel”
We have stayed in several NYC hotels and love the Alex. Extremely relaxing guest rooms. Exceptionally helpful staff. Conveniently located to Grand Central and midtown. A wonderful place to stay. Will definitely go back.
“The Alex”
I had an amazing stay at The Alex. The staff was extrememly helpfull and professional and the rooms were very well kept.
“Excellent NY hotel”
Centerally located, nice gym, excellent rooms
