“I cannot wait for a return visit, back to the hotel with my wife and children.”
I can recccomend from first hand experience, that all in all, for a two star graded hotel, it was a cut above the rest within this category. The rooms above the ground floor had a good elevator service. The complimentary Breakfast had a variety of choices, although saying that there was a couple days, where in the last hour of breakfast between 08:30am to 09:30am the seating room, was full to capacity. But overall another satifactory customer.
“Great CLEAN NEW hotel in Brooklyn”
This hotel was in a great location right by the subway. It was clean and new and everyone was really nice. I am very satisfied with my stay!
“Great value, Great Stay!”
Great experience! Hotel is very nice and clean; from check-in to check-out it exceeded my expectations. The room(King-Non smoking) was plenty big enough for two people, it was clean and tidy throughout. Nice flat screen on wall with regular cable channels and a few HBOs. Only complaint with room was the desk chair was very shaky, with loose bolts. Fortunately, we did not need to use the chair except to put the pizza box. Room service was great each day; with bed making; cleaning bath, trash and restocking supplies. On the last day, no hand towels were left; but that was the only item of note from being perfect room service. Hotel is very convenient to Subway station @ 25 St.(quick 4-block walk). The R-train will take you into Manhattan with many convenient stops to attractions and areas of the city. Front desk was very helpful and courteous. We checked in near 10pm and hoped to walk somewhere close for a late dinner and drinks. Front desk directed us to where we'd find some options. We found a local Italian place for dinner and a bar called, South. South was a great experience for a local bar/pub feel; it was a great way to start our stay in Brooklyn. Front desk also held our bags on our check out day, as our flight was not until 6pm. It allowed for one extra day in the city, and you can never have enough days on a trip to NYC; there is always more to see/do/experience. We did not make it to the free breakfast; so can't comment on that. Highly Recommended A++
“Cheap and cheerful”
This hotel is the best please you can find for the price near NYC. 35 minutes to midtown on subway. The only problem is you cannot get a yellow cab from there. Never eat the hotel breakfast, but win NYC who wasn’t that when you have can have Tom’s Breakfast from Washington Ave, Brooklyn
“Great hotel”
It was a great experience. Hotel was really nice, staff was so friendly. They offer free breakfast, parking and internet. Taking the subway to Manhattan was so easy. I felt so safe around the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to people who wish to visit New York City.
“Would use again.”
Great location to subway, delicious breakfast, friendly management.
“First time in New York City”
This hotel is brand new and was the main reason we decided to stay here. Everything was clean, and the housekeepers cleaned our room every day. The Staff was very helpful, and they even called a cab for me. Parking is limited, but I was able to secure one the next day after check-in. It's easy to get parking from 12-4. If you park in the street, you will have to make sure your car is not on the side that the sweepers will be cleaning that day, usually Tuesday and Thursday. We used the subway 75% of the time as the stop is near. I experienced the subway for the first time ever, and I was not disappointed. It sure beats paying 30 for a cab within Brooklyn as opposed to 2.25 per one-way, including transfers! There is a good, dirt cheap Chinese restaurant on the block. They have good, good vegetarian food! The neighborhood is very quiet except for the typical traffic, and the neighbors were never to be seen or heard. Other things I can mention that I read in previous reviews is that staying in a room by the elevator was no big deal. Some people are so critical. The walls aren't bad, either.
“Very nice hotel if you want to see something else than Manhattan”
Don't go there if you want to be in Manhattan. We spent the trip in Brooklyn so it was perfect for us, with a subway nearby, grocery store, restaurants, etc. We still went to Manhattan and it took around 30 min to make it to Central Park with the subway. Hotel was very clean, the room wasn't big but it was enough for 3 days. Would go back again if I want to go in Brooklyn again
“highly recommended”
I was very pleased with this hotel. It's brand new so everything was immaculate. The management of the hotel was extremely helpful. There are ten parking spaces in front of the hotel and it's 3 blocks from the 25th Street metro stop in Brooklyn. The mattresses were so comfortable we wanted to know which brand they were. Our room included a dorm-sized fridge which we were glad to be able to use. The basement area of the hotel is where the continental breakfast was served; it also offered a computer for checking email, etc. The surrounding neighborhood is typical Brooklyn, not the nicest place in NYC but definitely not the worst. There is a small grocery store halfway between the hotel and the metro stop. Next time we're in NYC we'll definitely consider staying here again.
“Philly goes to Brooklyn”
We had a wonderful weekend staying here allowed us to go into NYC and enjoy a Broadway show and a fabulous meal. We also had great take out and went to the Friday night happy hour at the Brooklyn Brewery. Another fun thing we did was to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to South Street Seaport - to the discount tix site.
