An Oasis in Flushing Queens New York

Posted 25-Jun-2014
Pros: - Clean rooms, welcoming and helpful staff. - Consistent standard of the hotel. - Free shuttle that picks you up from and too LaGuardia airport.
Cons: The room smelled musty when we first arrived and the AC was very loud during the night.
Location: - Very near LaGuardia airport and in the vicinity of Chinatown. - Lots of great places to eat but make sure that there's an "A" rating posted.
It was great to find a hotel with a long standing reputation such as Sheraton in Flushing New York. Coming back to the hotel after having to navigate through the busy and chaotic streets of Flushing Chinatown was like entering a cool oasis. The hotel staff were very professional and welcoming. Should I ever have to go back to Flushing Queens NY for whatever reason, I would definitely stay at the Sheraton LaGuardia East hotel again.

Nice hotel. Poor maintenance timing

Posted 17-Jun-2014
We have an overall good experience. A couple things: we ordered room service and were overcharged, after calling room service they said the menus were outdated. Noise- we had a room right next to a room were they were doing some sort repairs. We were woken up 2 days by hammering and loud noises and loud talking. This was an issue because we need our rest from being out sightseeing. Noises started around 9am est. I was about to pack up and leave but decided I didn't want to hassle.

This was a very tired Shearton that did not live up to the Sheraton Brand. Needs a refurb badly.

Hotel with Chinese style

Posted 27-Jan-2014
Pros: Very comfy beds, polite and helpful staff and the restaurant menu has a wide variety to suit all tastes for breakfast and dinner.
Location: The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Flushing, a stone's throw from the main shopping street and Subway station.
We received a warm welcome in the very coldest of weather, having booked into this hotel to attend a family celebration in the area. We were delighted to see the Chinese decor which extends throughout the hotel.

Nice but.....

Posted 20-Jan-2014
Pros: Clean, with good space, quiet.
Cons: people from front desk needs to be more familiar with booking, prices, etc.
Location: It is culturally rich. There is a large and unique Asian community around......
I decided to be there for an extra night, but they did not charge me what they offered me on the front desk......then, everything else was okay.
