“Great location and value for money”
Second visit to this hotel, still really like it. Free continental breakfast and WiFi are a big bonus. Excellent beds, no plumbing noises from other rooms. Hard to beat I would think.
“Comfortable, easy place to stay”
Convenient to subway stops, shopping, nearby restaurants; staff went out of their way to accomodate requests and help locate sites/sights; comfortable space for two adults and two small children.
“Tops On My List”
I've stayed in a lot of different places in NYC and now I have a new favorite. Staff - Excellent. Location - Great. Rooms - Spacious & Comfortable. The staff was always accomodating and helpful with directions, suggestions on places to eat or places to see in the neighborhood. This location is awesome. The north-south subway is 1-block away and the east-west is only 3-blocks (can get you to JFK for only $7) Easy to walk to all the major tourist attraction in midtown.
“Great hotel”
Great hotel. Room very nice and clean. Plenty of room for 2 people. Excellent continental breakfast included with plenty to set you up for a day of none stop walking. Trust me! Great service with staff being very friendly, especially the cool doorman who got us our taxi back to the airport when we left. Would recommend to anyone whose going to New York for any reason. Subway station just round the corner which we used a lot to get all over manhatten and many other great sites near by. We would definately stay again when we go back to New York City!!
“New York, San Carlos - so good you'll go there twice!”
We spent 4 nights in the San Carlos and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Manhattan. It was spotlessly clean, the fittings etc all looked very new and stylish. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. There was a good complementary continental breakfast to set you up for the morning. Situated in Midtown, it was central for all the tourist must-see places. You could walk to most of them, including Central Park. There is a great diner right across the street and posh asian restaurant next door. We would definitely stay here next time! Only down side was our Blue Van Super Shuttle transport did not show up, despite being pre-booked, confirmed and 3 follow up calls. Due to this we missed our flight home. Hotel staff were great in organising alternative transport to airport. Can't wait to go back to New York and San Carlos!

The hotel was very nice, everything's in good condition, and the staff was very cordial & helpful (every one of them!). I was mostly impressed with their customer service. They also have a free business center, and free wireless internet. When it started raining they had complimentary umbrellas, which was very helpful. I loved everything about it, just wish they had a restaurant on site & room service.

is a very nice hotel, the ubication is perfect, the breakfast is very good, and for me is a perfect hotel, nice, coozy, and familiar.
“The Suite was Sweet!”
We loved having a suite at the San Carlos Hotel. The location is perfect, central to all the sites and walking distance to many. The staff is superb - friendly and helpful. With two adults and two children (teenagers!), the suite was ideal because we were able to spread out and not be in each other's way.

I have stayed in many hotels throughout the word - but this is top quality. Staff are helpful and friendly. Facilities also excellent. Hotel has a very good Indian restaurant attached called Mint - first class. When in New York we would not stay anywhere else. Although relatively expensive it provides good value for money.
