“5 star comfort for acceptable price”
We are very happy with our choice. Before went to the hotel we were worried about if it is not like seen on the pictures but after we arrived there, we saw that is is more beautiful from the pictures. The Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Hotel is new decorated and has a good location close to subway stations. Front desk and all stuff were so kind and helpful.
“Good hotel, would definitely go back”
The rooms were really nice, especially for only a 2 star, we were on holiday with another couple and their room was as good as ours. Comfy king size bed, tasteful decor and modern bathroom facilities. The complimentary breakfast wasn't amazing but adequate enough. On the first night we realised we were missing a curtain, this was replaced within half an hour. Long Island City didn't feel like a particularly affluent/safe area, we were 5 minutes walk to the metro station and sometimes felt glad to be part of a group when we were walking back at night. Once on the metro it was only 10/15 minutes to Times Square, so still good access to Manhatten. Only problem was noise from a building site opposite woke us early, but this didn't bother our friends who were on a higher floor. Overall, very impressed with the hotel, cheaper and quieter than anywhere we could have stayed on Manhatten.
“It's Ok”
We would like to visit agian
“Clean and comfortabale hotel”
The room is comfortabale, clean and well appointed. But there are almost no shops surrounding the hotel, and the breakfast need to be improved.
“Excellent Nigh's Sleep”
Arriving at the hotel, check in was painless and we were given a room on the first floor. We had booked in advance and asked for a Manhattan view, but getting a first floor room, I didn't think the view was going to be what I'd asked for. I was wrong. We had a lovely view out over Manhattan, and we saw the Empire State Building and the Queensboro bridge illuminated every night. We had a room with two queen beds, and my bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The room does get very cold in winter without the heating on, but the heater can adjust the temp and be set to auto to maintain that constant temp. It was a bit noisy at first, but you are so tired when you return to the hotel every night that the sound of the heater doesn't impinge on your sleep at all. Breakfast is a basic affair, but filling enough for a free meal. The dining space is small, but we were forewarned by other reviews and just took a tray from our room to get some food. The hotel is about 3-4 blocks from the Subway station, approx 5-10 minutes walk, and felt very safe, even late at night. If you're walking down to Queensboro Plaza, there is an entrance just around the left hand corner. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Great Location for Couples and Families. Will go back.”
I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend. The first impression of the neighborhood was not the greatest but it got much better as the days passed. We stayed here for ten days and never had any problems. Personnel was very nice and available. If you are staying for a long period of time you can buy your food at the nearby grocery stores. The hotel is three blocks from Queensboro's Metro/Subway (or Train as they call it in NYC). The 4th and 5th stop are Grand Central and Time Square. When we go back to NY we will definitely stay at Ramada Long Island City.
“Good place to stay”
I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and i thought it was a good place. When I walked back to the hotel in the night the street was well lighted. Its very quiet at night. It's close to the Queensboro Plaza station to get to the city. It has local stores and markets not that many blocks from it. I had a good expirience. The rooms i could say are maybe a little small but i got the king size bed. But overall it was enough to accomodate me and my girlfriend. The breakfeast was pretty good too ( I just recommend getting there early because its a small seating area with about 4 tables) but overall i thought the hotel was good.Staff-friendly! Would consider staying here again. Definitely a Plus!!!
“A very good choice”
This hotel is a very good!
“Great deal!”
Great hotel in excellent clean condition. Great proximity to the train. Excellent customer service. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Incredible price.
“Looking forward to my next visit.”
Our stay at Ramada Long Island was very pleasant. The location is very great to the Hospital in Manhattan that we went for medical service. It is walking distance to a Deli where you can go for much needed supply. Very safe for walking. We enjoyed the 19 inch snow.
